The Super Eagles of Nigeria had the compliment of all invited players bar the duo of Odion Ighalo and Bryan Idowu in the first team activity held today ahead of their AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie against Libya.
Ighalo and Idowu were the only players missing due to the distance they have to cover from their base to Nigeria but they are expected in camp later tonight or early tomorrow morning when real tactical training will begin.
As expected on loan Chelsea defender Ola Aina and Arsenal Alex Iwobi were roundly cheered by spectators who were at the vicinity of the gymnasium where the session took place for close to two hours.
Watford forward Isaac Success who is back in the squad for the first time in over a year since his maiden game for the Super Eagles of Nigeria was watched closely by the technical crew during the session.
He looked a lot fitter and trimmer, hence didn’t need to do extra drills unlike the last time he was with the team. A sign of how fit he is since his injury owes came to an end.
Ahead of the tie with Libya, the team will hold their first session on the pitch tomorrow morning under the watchful eyes of the technical crew led by coach Gernot Rohr.
