Chelsea ace Victor Moses will not be missed by the Super Eagles of Nigeria when they take on Libya on Saturday in the race to be at next year Africa Cup of Nations according to coach Gernot Rohr.
Moses retired from international football after the World Cup in Russia. A move which took Rohr by surprise as he is one of the pillars of the team for the first two years of the tenure of the Franco-German coach.
However the coach insist even though they will miss his experience, the team has players who can deliver against Libya on Saturday and he specifically mentioned Bordeaux of France winger Samuel Kalu as one of the players he is banking on against Libya.
” Moses is not here with us. We’ll miss his experience because of what he brings to the team but we can still achieve our aim against Libya starting from Saturday with the likes of Samuel Kalu, who did very well against Seychelles “, Rohr told Owngoalnigeria.com in a chat.
” Kalu gives us a different option in attack, which is good for the team and our aim of picking up good points to make up for the disappointment of losing our first qualifiers at home”.
