The way coach Gernot Rohr lined up players of the Super Eagles during a drill on goal scoring for top striker Odion Ighalo gave an indication on how he might approach the game against Libya on Saturday.
Ahead of the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers scheduled for Saturday at the mainbowl of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium , the coach did a drill on goal scoring with six players while the rest of the team were engaged in a test game.
Odion Ighalo was the main act in the drill with Alex Iwobi playing alongside him in what looked like a two man attack, while Ahmed Musa and Samuel Kalu operated from wide areas.
Ighalo was placed in a straight duel against William Troost-Ekong who acted as the defender in the drill with fellow defender Shehu Abdullahi also involved in the special drill.
Abdullahi, Musa and Kalu were given specific instructions to whip in balls towards the duo of Iwobi and Ighalo while Ekong was given the mandate of stopping them from hitting target.
It appears the team will be lined up in same way in attack unless the coach decided to have a change of heart probably after more sessions in preparation for the game on Saturday.
