Per details gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com from the close door training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Shehu Abdullahi is currently the front runner to start as right back when Nigeria play Libya tomorrow.
Bursaspor defender Abdullahi missed the last qualifiers game against Seychelles as he was recovering from an injury picked up during pre season but since returning back to the team, he has been heavily involved with the main team in drills.
Ola Aina whom many expected to push Abdullahi all the way base on his form for Italian side Torino has been mostly involved with the players who are likely to miss out on selection for the game tomorrow.
Although today’s training could change all of that as head coach Gernot Rohr will assess the players once more before making a definite decision on the players who will start in tomorrow’s game scheduled to begin by 4pm.
Rohr can also be confident on whoever he picks between the duo as they have both looked lively and impressive in training especially yesterday when they played in a test game among themselves.
