Super Eagles Goalkeeper Uzoho Preserves Clean Sheet Run With Late Save For Elche In Away Win

The first choice goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria Francis Odinaka Uzoho was once again in fine form for Spanish second division side Elche in their 2-0 win over Real Zaragoza.

Uzoho kept a clean sheet in his first start in the league last weekend and he followed it up with another near perfect display against Real Zaragoza with his save in the closing stages of the game the peak of his display.

He dived at full length to deny Zaragoza with a finger tip save to preserve his clean sheet record in consecutive games for Elche, the team he joined on loan in the summer from Deportivo La Coruna.

His determination to keep his spot as the first choice goalkeeper of the Nigeria national team made him push for a loan move away from Deportivo, after he was told he will still remain as third choice despite his involvement in the World Cup with Nigeria.
