Watford forward Isaac Success has been given the chance to lead the attack of the senior national team of Nigeria when they take on South Africa in the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers following the withdrawal of Odion Ighalo due to injury.
Success played second fiddle to Ighalo during the last round of qualifiers coming on as a substitute in the first game before sitting out the entirety of the reverse tie in Tunisia. Ighalo took the game really well by scoring four goals in both games.
His absence was confirmed yesterday when Henry Onyekuru was announced as his replacement following the injury he picked up in a league game for his Chinese team Chanchung Yatai yesterday.
However, Success will still have to beat off competition from the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen who is back in the team after a fine run in front of goal for his Belgium side Charleroi, where he is on loan from Wolfsburg of Germany.
