Super Eagles latest sensation Samuel Kalu knows the area he needs to improve in his game if to help his career in the long run both at club and national team level.
Kalu was impressive for the Super Eagles playing as a right wing-back against South Africa and he also showed his other side when he was returned back to his role as a winger in the friendly game against Uganda.
His introduction in the second half against Uganda sparked the attack of the Nigerian team but just like the rest of his teammates they failed to break down a resolute Ugandan side as they game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com after the game, Kalu said he has no problem playing in a role which suits the team just as he admitted that there are areas in his game he still need to improve.
” I played at right wing-back against South Africa and it felt normal to me because I played in that role while I was in Belgium playing for Gent. Against Uganda I was high up the pitch and it was back to basics. In both games maybe I should have scored”, Kalu told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Scoring goals is very vital just as picking up assists. My aim is to improve my ability to score without obstructing the balance of the team. That’s an area I am seriously working on”, he remarked
