Joel Noah Sarenren-Bazee debut for Nigeria appears to be drawing close according to coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr who started the process of convincing the Hannover 96 forward to switch allegiance to Nigeria last year.
Bazee took part in Nigeria’s training camp in England but couldn’t play in the friendly game against Senegal as he wasn’t fully fit and even had to fly back to Germany before the game.
Same fitness issues have kept him out of the Nigerian team but after shaking off his injury demons, yesterday same curse strike again when he suffered concussion 37 minutes into their game against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Hannover 96 confirmed the injury setback earlier today but didn’t specify the length of the time, the 22 year old who was starting his second consecutive game will spend on the sidelines.
Their statement came four days after Rohr confirmed in a session with sports journalist in Lagos that the player’s international switch is almost done.
