On loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo says he is keen on a permanent deal with Leganes at the expiration of his present loan deal with the La Liga side next summer.
Omeruo has enjoyed regular run of games with Levante with high praises coming his way for his impressive performance and it has also helped him reclaim his spot in the senior national team of Nigeria.
This is his sixth consecutive loan spell since joining Chelsea in 2013 and the regular run of game at Leganes appears to have helped him make up his mind on not returning back to the team as he wouldn’t love to sit on the bench.
Although Leganes have the option of making his deal permanent this summer, Omeruo suggest he will be happy if the club take up the option of handing him a permanent deal next summer.
”Chelsea has done a lot, they did a lot in making me the player I am today, they believe in me but I think for me I’ve gotten this chance to stay in the Spanish League if I can stay, I’ll stay but at the end of the day we still have until the end of the season but I would not love to go back and sit on the bench”, Omeruo told HotSports TV.
” I’ve to be playing so if my regular time means me staying in Spain, I’ll stay in Spain”.
