Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi got the highest rating for his team Rotherham in their 2-2 draw against QPR in the English Championship, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Ajayi started in the heart of Rotherham’s central defence alongside Clark Robertson who scored what could easily have ended as the winner 15 minutes into the game after Nahki Wells cancelled out Will Vaulks opener for the home side.
Luke Freeman played the role of spoiler as he struck in the final minute of regulation time to draw QPR level and ensure they share the points on offer equally with the home team.
The Nigeria international demonstrated his ability in the air by winning all of the area duels he was involved in and as usual his interception and tackles were clean and timely.
He got a rating of 7.5 over 10 with his pass completion rate pegged at around 75% during the course of the game which had another Nigerian in Ebere Eze who was also on for QPR.
Ebere wasn’t as influential like in previous games where dictate play from the midfield with defence splitting passes but Ajayi was always there to intercept the pass before any player of QPR pounce on the ball.
