Hannover 96 forward Noah Joel Sarenren-Bazee is not badly injured as initially feared when he suffered concussion 37 minutes into their 1-3 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga.
Bazee was feared out for a longer period but the Nigeria has been discharged from the hospital where he underwent medical checks to ascertain the severity of the discomfort he encountered during the game.
In line to finally make his debut for the senior national team of Nigeria after overcoming the various injury issues that slowed down his career and national team chances the past one year, he is expected to be out for two weeks.
That means he could yet make the squad of the Super Eagles for their AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie against Seychelles in March next year provided he doesn’t suffer another injury set back before the game.
Born to a German mother and a Nigerian father, he has long pledged his allegiance to the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of Germany just like Leon Balogun who represented Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
