On loan Everton forward Henry Onyekuru is still searching for his first goal in this season UEFA Champions League after failing to hit the target once again as they suffered a 0-2 loss to Lokomotiv Moscow.
Onyekuru was on from start to finish for the Turkish side but he failed to add to his goal tally of six goals in all competitions this season with four of his goals coming in the league while the others came in the qualifiers of the UEFA Champions League.
21 year old Onyekuru operated from the right in the three man attack but just like his fellow forwards he failed to bail his team out as goals from Grzegorz Krychowiak and Vladislav Ignatiev handed the home side a win and all three points.
It was supposed to be a game of two Nigerians but Russian-Nigerian defender Brian Idowu wasn’t listed by Lokomotiv Moscow as they breath life into their quest to snatch a ticket to the Europa League via their group.
The loss means the chances of Galatasaray progressing from the group to the round of 16 is over but they are in line to pip the Russians to the spot available for the UEFA Europa League for teams that finished third in their respective groups.
