Rohr Confirms Inclusion Of Ex England U20 Ace Moses Odubajo In Super Eagles AFCON 2019 Plans


Former Hull City defender Moses Odubajo could represent Nigeria at next year Africa Cup of Nations according to the media officer of the Super Eagles ‎Toyin Ibitoye, reports.


Reports in the British media has it that he has agreed to switch allegiance to Nigeria despite representing England at U20 level and media officer of the Nigerian team has confirmed their interest in his services.

Reacting to a link on the story that cited the right full back as part of Nigerian plans for next year AFCON, Ibitoye said the defender has a spot in the team and they are happy he has overcome the injuries that kept him out for two seasons.

Odubajo is putting his career back on track after missing close to two months due to an injury picked up shortly after helping Hull City gain promotion to the English Premier League, the 25 year old was released last month following the expiration of his contract and he is now at fellow Championship side Brentford.

“We will be happy to have any player that will make the Super Eagles stronger and more competitive on the pitch. I hope and pray for Odubajo that the injury setbacks are over…very good player”, Ibitoye remarked.
