English Championship side Rotherham United are facing a struggle to hang on to Nigeria international defender Semi Ajayi following his exploits at club and national level this season.
Ajayi is now a full fledged senior international with Nigeria with three caps to his name all within a space of three months with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
At club level, he has been ever present for Rotherham this season with his partnership with in the heart of Rotherham’s defence with Clark Robertson earning positive reviews the past six games, which they have gone unbeaten.
His central defence pair for the six games in question has called on the 25 year old who is out of contract in two years time to shun interest from English Premier League teams who have been tracking him.
Coach of Rotherham Paul Warne is off the same opinion and he even said keeping the Nigerian at the club is his main priority when the January transfer window opens.
