Dennis Emmanuel Bonaventure of Belgium side Club Brugge will get his chance with the senior national team of Nigeria as he is one of the players placed under close watch by the technical crew led by Gernot Rohr.
Dennis scored his third league goal of the season yesterday to wrap up a comprehensive 3-0 win for Club Brugge over Standard Liege in what was his 9th game of the season, no thanks to a harmstring that kept him on the sidelines for a month.
21 year old Dennis has taken to life in Belgium quite easy following his transfer from Zorya of Ukraine to the team before the start of last season, which Club Brugge finished as champions and he played in 30 games with seven goals to his name.
Speaking on his goal yesterday, a member of the backroom staff of Rohr revealed Dennis is among the 50 players they intend to scout before naming the squad for the AFCON 2019 showpiece.
” Dennis is under watch. His performance has not gone unnoticed right from last season but we had other players in front of him back then but he has close the gap very well this season. Every good player will get a chance if their form stay consistent “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
