On loan Roma forward Sadiq Umar could be heading to Belgium if he terminates his loan deal with Scottish side Rangers, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Sadiq has found it hard to get games at Rangers with coach Steven Gerrard placing him as fourth choice in the list of strikers at the club. A situation which has seen him miss out on the matchday squad for the past few games.
Rangers are willing to terminating his loan deal in January because according to various reports, they are eyeing a move for Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke as his replacement with Gerrard keen on reuniting with Solanke after coaching him at youth level at Liverpool.
Roma will loan Sadiq out again if he eventually return to the club in January and Standard Liege who were keen on acquiring him in the summer before his move to Rangers have already contacted his representatives.
However, the 21 year old is eager to finish the season at Rangers where he believe he can fight for a spot in the starting line up if the coach hand him the chance before the end of the season.
