Musa Yahaya Seeks Loan Move From FC Porto, Backs Awaziem To Reclaim First Team Spot

Former Nigeria U17 and 20 wing forward Musa Yahaya says he is open to the idea of leaving FC Porto on loan in January to a team playing in the top division, reports.

20 year old Yahaya is still playing for the B team of the Portuguese outfit two years after joining the club from fellow Portuguese side Portimonense for a fee in a little over €500,000.

The forward who is now mostly deployed as a right wing back has played five games for the B team of the Portuguese side who are campaigning in the second division, no thanks to injuries and fitness issues.

” I have played for two years with Porto B . It will be good to test all that I have learnt in a top division team. Since I’m not getting it at Porto, I honestly won’t mind going on loan in January “, Yahaya told in an exclusive interview.

Speaking on the inactivity of Chidozie Awaziem at the club since his return from a productive loan spell in France with Nantes, Yahaya explained that he will no doubt prove his quality when he is given the chance to play.

” It’s really not easy for young African central defenders in Europe. Awaziem will play games this season, all he need is just a game to cement his spot. I know he can do it because he has the ability “, he concluded.
