Stephen Odey Hits Goal Number 11 For FC Zurich With Latest Strike In Europa League

Former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) feared striker Stephen Odey increased his goal tally for Swiss side FC Zurich with the lone goal in a 1-1 draw against Ludogorets Razgard of Bulgaria in the Europa League.

Odey struck in the 21st minute to put his side ahead and despite Jakub Swierczok leveller for Ludogorets on the stroke of half time, Odey’s goal was enough to earn his side a draw and a spot in the round of 32 of the tournament.

They qualified alongside group A winners Bayern Leverkusen who finished with 13 points while Zurich beat AEK Larnaca and Ludogorets to the other spot from the group with 10 points.

Although the goal was his first in the Europa League, the former MFM striker has scored eleven goal in all competitions this season with six coming in the league and four others in the Swiss Cup.
