The first choice goalkeeper of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Francis Uzoho had a fairly above average game for his loan side Elche despite ending up on the losing side as they slump to a 1-2 defeat away to Tenerife.

Now firmly established as the first choice goalkeeper of the club, the 20 year old showed composure between the sticks despite conceding as early as the 23rd minute of the game decided at the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez.

On the hour mark, he was once again beaten for Tenerife’s second goal of the game but it could have been worst for Elche if not for his double save in quick succession few minutes before regulation time.

On loan from Deportivo La Coruna he has so far made seven appearances despite missing a little over a month with a suspected rib injury suffered in the 5-1 loss against Cadiz in November.

He has a played a total of nine games this season with two games to his name in the Copa Del Rey.
