Bordeaux picked their second win of the year by beating Angers SCO 2-1 away from home with their Nigerian forward Samuel Kalu scoring the opener in the game which finished in dramatic fashion, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Kalu was on for 69 minutes in what was his 15th appearance of the season and the 21 year old scored his second league goal of the season when he stabbed home a cross in the 31st minute to put his side ahead.
His strike was cancelled out in the 64th minute by Mateo Pavlovic but just when it seems like the game was heading for a draw, Yann Karamoh popped up with a winner in the final minute of the game to clinch all three points for Bordeaux.
The win moved Bordeaux to 11th on the log standing of the French Ligue 1 and also helped them return back to winning way after the 1-0 win they suffered against Nice On Saturday.
For Kalu he now has two goals in his last three games for the club in 2019, a sign of how well he has settled down at the club he joined in the summer from Belgium side Gent.
