Barcelona are through to the quarter finals of the Copa Del Rey after a convincing 3-0 win over Levante to edge the tie on a 4-2 aggregate win thanks to a brace from Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi goal.
Nigeria international Moses Simon was on from start to finish for Levante but unlike the first leg where he played a pivotal role in their 2-1 win, this time around he was helpless as Barcelona continue their march to a fifth consecutive Copa Del Rey triumph.
Operating from the left of the attack of Levante, Simon still put in a commendable shift but he wasn’t quite a handful like he was in the first leg where he proved to be too much for Barcelona right back Nelson Semedo.
This season the Nigerian has seen more game time in the Copa Del Rey as he played in all of their three games in the tournament and the defeat means he will now focus on regular game time in La Liga games.
Signed from Belgium side Gent for a fee in the region of €4m, an injury picked up in pre season saw him miss a month out and he has found it hard to break into the team since the unfortunate incident which happened a day before the start of the league.
