Former HNK Rijeka of Croatia forward Theophilus Solomon has joined the Nigerian duo of Obinna Nwobodo and Vincent Onovo at Hungarian side Ujpest, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Solomon signed a four year deal on a free transfer from Croatian side Inter Zapresic where he mutually terminated his deal with the club he joined in the summer on a permanent transfer from Rijeka.
He passed a routine medical earlier today and will be presented by the club later this evening but Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that the forward has settled for a shirt number in jersey number 9.
It is believed that Solomon caught the attention of Ujpest when he scored the lone goal for his former team Inter Zapresic in a pre season game which ended 1-0 in the summer.
Ujpest will be his sixth club since his move to Rijeka in 2014 as he has also played for Zadar, Sibenik and Istra on loan from Rijeka before leaving for Serbia for a loan spell with Partizan Belgrade.
He left the Serbian outfit after six months for another loan spell in Cyprus with Omonia Nicosia around this time last year . His most productive spell in front of goal came at Istra where he scored 13 league goals in the Croatian top flight.
