Barring a last minute change of mind, coach of the U23 team of Nigeria Imama Amapakabo has concluded plan to use the trio of Azubuike Okechukwu, Kelechi Nwakali and Kingsley Michael in his midfield against Libya in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Okechukwu is back in Turkey with Rizespor after a six months stints in Egypt where he played for Pyramids FC, and the 21 year old who was at a time captain of the last U23 team of Nigeria has been called up to the squad for the Libya clash.
On loan Arsenal midfielder Nwakali will join him in the midfield where he could be reunited with his former U17 midfield mate in Kingsley Michael who is on loan to Perugia from Italian Serie A side Bologna.
All the three mentioned players have received their call up to the squad for the game and they are expected to arrive camp in the coming days ahead of the first leg clash which will take place in Tunisia.
So far the team has three foreign based players in camp in CD Feirense Tosin Kehinde, Bede Opara of 4th division Portuguese side Vilar de Perdizes and Rio Ave B defence hard man Kelechi John but more will join the team before the end of the week.
