Ex Nigeria U20 Trainee Manu Apeh Eyes More La Liga Games After Second Game For Celta Vigo


Former Nigeria U20 invitee Emmanuel Apeh says he hope to play more games to aid the fight against relegation his La Liga side Celta Vigo have found themselves this season with eleven more games to go this season.


Apeh who trained with the Nigerian U20 team of 2015 played for the second time this season in the La Liga when he replaced Sofiane Boufal with five minutes left to play in their 0-1 loss to Real Betis last weekend.

The game was his second game of the season for the first team of Celta Vigo following his debut against Real Valladolid in January, prior to the game against Betis last weekend he has made the bench on three different occasions.

His rise to the first team came as a result of his fine start to live at the club he joined in the summer from Lorca FC as he scored three goals in his first two games before he missing as many as six games due to injury.

In a chat with Owngoalnigeria.com, he said his aim is to emulate the like of Kenneth Omeruo, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon who are all playing regular games in the La Liga for Leganes, Villarreal and Levante respectively.

” 11 more matches to play this season and my aim is to play in at least six of them from the start. It’s not nice that we are battling to remain in the top division and I will work really hard to play more games to help the team beat the drop at the end of the season “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
