Captain of the Nigeria U20 team Ikouwem Udoh has been called up to the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of their upcoming engagements against Seychelles and Egypt respectively in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.
Udoh was called up as replacement for Samuel Kalu who is a huge doubt for the game as he is presently out injured and might not be able to make the squad for both games.
According to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team, Udoh was place on standby by coach of the senior national team of Nigeria in his initial list due to doubts surrounding the availability of Ola Aina but the Torino defender later returned from the injury which he was nursing.
The inclusion of Udoh who plays for Enyimba might not be the last alteration to the list with doubts surrounding the availability of Oghenekaro Etebo who missed Stoke City’s last game due to injury.
For now Etebo’s availability is subject to him making the squad for Stoke City game this weekend and if he is considered fit enough to play for Nigeria by the English Championship side.
