On loan HNK Rijeka shot stopper David Nwolokor did his chances of getting a call up to the senior national team of Nigeria with a clean sheet for Sered in their 1-0 win over Ruzomberok in the title play off in Slovakia.

23 year old Nwolokor was impressive behind the sticks for Sered and helped them pip Ruzomberok to all three points although they are still sixth in the six team play offs for European spots in Slovakia.

The goalkeeper is among European based shot stoppers who are been watched closely ‎by coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr who is searching for more options in goal ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

This season Nwolokor has kept more games than the first choice goalkeeper of the Super Eagles Francis Uzoho who has not enjoyed a stellar club career since his debut for relegated La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna last season.

Now at Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta, Uzoho has played just twice since his move in January and got sent off on his return to the team after suspension for making his debut with a fake medical certificate.

Uzoho has made just nine appearances this season in all competitions despite playing in goal for Nigeria at the World Cup while Nwolokor has played in 12 games this season in all competitions for his loan side Sered.
