Sunday Stephen – Partly at fault for the goal conceded by Nigeria , the only blip of his performance in the game. Did well in commanding his area….. 6.5/10
Shedrack Tanko – Had his best game of the tournament. Didn’t look troubled in anyway . Joined the attack with ease without putting his defence under any sort of pressure…..7/10
Ogaga Oduko – His overlapping run from deep earned him two clear cut chance but his touch let him down in the vital moment. He has however improved very well in his defensive duties but largely at fault for the goal scored by Angola as his weak header wrong footed his goalkeeper…..6/10
Ikenna Chigozie – Didn’t put a single foot wrong. Timed his tackles to perfection and showed his ability to initiate play from defence. Growing better with each game…..8/10
David Ishaya – Showed his aerial strength and confidence on the ball when it matters . Willing to put his body on the line for the team hence denying Uganda a sight at goal…..8/10
Samson Tijani : Started the game very well and dictated the pace for his team but his stamina ran out in the second half. Had a slightly above average display…..6/10
Abayomi Mayowa : Not scared of going into duels . A situation which led to his booking midway through the first half and subsequently substituted for tactical reasons ….. 5/10
Olatomi Olaniyan – Should have done better with the ball at his feet. Did put in a solid shift but was guilty of wasting some of the best chances that came the way of Nigeria in the first half….. 6.5/10
Jabaar Ibraheem : Started for the first time and looked by far the best player on the pitch for Nigeria. Took the game to Uganda with his darting runs. Got the goal his performance deserve with a perfect ball control before executing a smart finish…..8.5/10
Akinkunmi Amoo – Looked off the pace and a bit selfish. Still did a good job in running at the defence of Angola but his decision making let him down when needed the most…..6/10
Wisdom Ubani – Showed quick feet, strength and pace in the box but his decision. A willing runner who also showed his strength when it comes to shooting from free kicks or range. His lively display surely deserve a goal….. 8/10
Olakunle Olusegun – Defended for the team in crucial moment before providing a moment of class with a wonderful pass for Jabaar to draw Nigeria level…..6/10
Fawaz Abdullahi – Added a physical presence to the midfield of Nigeria and won more balls than any other player on the pitch. Gave the front players the shield they need to play to their strengths…..7/10
