Nigeria youth international defender Valentine Ozornwafor has left the camp of the Nigeria U20 team in Germany to conclude his move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
As first reported by this portal, Enyimba accepted Galatasaray’s offer for the 19 year old who is expected to star for Nigeria at the U20 World Youth Championship in Poland later this month.
Ozornwafor was granted permission by the technical crew of the Nigeria U20 team to travel to Turkey yesterday and he is expected back in camp tomorrow shortly after undergoing a medical at the club where Henry Onyekuru currently plays on loan from Everton.
The deal is reported in the region of € 350,000 and if he passes his medical he will be unveiled later this evening ahead of resumption with the team for pre season training before the start of next season.
He has enjoyed a splendid six months with the national team of Nigeria with his first senior call up coming hot on the hells of his impressive showing for Nigeria U20 team at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
As expected he didn’t make the matchday squad of the Super Eagles of Nigeria but did drop a level to the U23s where he played a key role in helping them qualify for the next round of qualifiers for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
