Godfrey Obaboana: A strong showing from the centre back who won almost every tackle he made, an improved showing on his display in Kaduna….7/10

Efe Ambrose: Unlucky to be in the mix that lead to the game’s winner for the Egyptians other than that had one of his best performance in an Eagles shirt, moved the ball nicely from the back and showed calmness in tight situations….7.5/10

Mikel Obi: A captain who tried his best to rally his team with his performance on the pitch aside his off the pitch pep talks not seen on live camera. Didn’t put a foot wrong so unlucky to be on the losing side….8.5/10

Ogenekaro Etebo: He climbed down from the high of his debut when he scored Nigeria’s lone goal five days ago, hardly noticed in the first half, gave away possession and was very sloppy in moving the ball forward….5/10

Aminu Umar: All brawn but less brain, a tireless runner not scared of taking on defender but lacking that crucial final pass in the opponent’s half, one for the future….5.5/10

Ahmed Musa: How he lasted 90 minutes is still a shock, off the pace, offered nothing in attack, wasted numerous chances to use his pace by far Nigeria’s worst player of the night….4/10

Victor Moses: The only loan Chelsea star had Nigeria’s only real chance of the game, unlucky to see his effort come off the woodwork with the goalkepper beaten despite that he was slightly above average looking at how talented he is….6/10
