KELECHI NWAKALI RETURNS TO FLYING EAGLES TRAINING, ZAKARI MISSING

Captain of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria, Kelechi Nwakali returned to training this morning after missing yesterday’s evening session as preparations for their second leg tie against Burundi hots up.

Nwakali voted the most valuable player (MVP) at last year U-17 World Youth Championship in Chile didn’t train yesterday on the orders of the team doctor who stopped him from joining his peers as witnessed by our correspondent.

However this morning he was among the players who took part in this morning training session but central defender Lukman Zakari wasn’t sighted by our correspondent who watched their training.

Aside Zakari, John Lazaruz who picked up a knock in the first leg tie against Burundi once again missed training fueling speculations that the knock could be worst than initially feared.

The Nigeria U-20 team are the defending champions of the Africa Youth Championship and started the race to be at next year edition which will hold in Zambia with a comfortable 1-0 win away in Burundi last weekend.

They will host Burundi in Calabar on the 1st of June in the return leg tie.
