The Nigerian trio of Jordon Ibe, Thiago Ilori and Seyi Ojo returned to training today with Liverpool for preparations ahead of the start of the next English Premier League season.

The trio are eligible for international football with Nigeria even though the duo of Ibe and Ojo have represented England at youth level while Ilori has played for Portugal at two different youth level.

Ibe the most illustrious of the trio failed to build on his fine form in pre season last summer and will be using this opportunity to play his way into the heart of manager Jurgen Klopp who has sparingly used the 20 year old since replacing Brendan Rodgers as coach of Liverpool.

Ojo on his part had a whirlwind end to last season forcing his way into the team most at times at the expense of Ibe after he wags recalled from his loan spell with Championship side Woverhampton Wanderers but this time around his route to the first team has been tightened following the signing of Sadio Mane and his planned involvement with the English U-19s in this summer European youth championship could see him miss most of their pre season game with the tournament set to run till late July.

The future of Thiago Ilorit, the third Nigerian who is presently in pre season training with the first team of Liverpool still remain unclear despite finally making his debut for the team last season two years after joining from Sporting Lisbon, no thanks to unsuccessful loan spells with Granada,Bordeaux and Aston Villa.

He is widely tipped to be sold by the team before the end of this transfer following his failure to develop into the player that Liverpool thought he would when they signed him from Sporting Lisbon.
