Everton Target Henry Onyekuru Nominated For Best Young Player Award In Belgium


Hot in demand Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru has made the final shortlist for the best young player award in Belgium following his impressive showing for newly promoted Eupen.


The Nigerian who has 21 goals this season in all competitions will be up against Anderlecht 20 year old midfielder Youri Tieleman‎ and 19 year old KV Oostende Nany Dimata for the award.

Bayern Leverkusen forward Leon Bailey won the award last year while at Genk, and this year winner will be announced on the 22nd of May at The Footballer of the year Year Gala.

Onyekuru according to his agent is in talks with clubs in the English Premier League over a potential switch in the summer, and as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com he has had talks with Everton.

Recent reports indicates Crystal Palace, West Brom and Bournemouth have all joined in his case while Belgian side Anderlecht and Club Brugge are also pushing to sign him in the summer.
