How They Lined Up & Why Eagles Training Session Ended Goalless

‎The training sessions of the Super Eagles is yet to produce a winner in training matches with today’s game ending nil all after yesterday’s clash that ended 1-1.

Coach Gernot Rohr divided the players into two teams, and watched on as the players slug it out for shirts ahead of Saturday’s game against South Africa which will take place at the Godswil Akpabio Stadium.

The reason for the goalless scoreline can’t be far fetched from the fact that the regular attackers of the team like Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi and Oghenekaro Etebo were ‎up against defenders who are the preferred options for coach Gernot Rohr.

For instance, Iwobi and Iheanacho were up against William Troost-Ekong and Kenneth Omeruo, while Ahmed Musa speed was put to test against vice captain Elderson Echiejile.

They cancelled out each other during duels in the session as Rohr continue to build up the team’s pattern and fitness ahead of the Bafana Bafana clash.
