The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) won’t be holding fresh talks with England U21 striker Tammy Abraham despite the forward confirming that talks are ongoing for him to switch allegiance to Nigeria.
Abraham whose father is a close friend to the President of the NFF initially denied any interest in switching allegiance to Nigeria, but few weeks ago he back tracked and said talks are ongoing.
However the NFF are not going to hold further talks with him anytime soon, but other players who have also represented England at youth level are going to be approached by the Federation.
” We have some players who have shown some interest and commitment in playing for us, we are going to meet with them soon. I think four of them, and they have all represented England at youth level “, the spokesman of the NFF told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” No fresh talks with Abraham, because we already know where we are with him, but we can’t reveal it now just the same way I can’t tell you the name of the players we plan to hold talks with before the end of the year”, he remarked.
