Former Nigeria U17 and 20 player Ejike Ikwu played his first game for Spanish side Recreativo de Huelva and ended on the winning side as his team triumph by a lone goal away to El Ejido in the Spanish 4th division.

The defender is on a season long loan deal to the Spanish side from Inter FC of Enugu and the club celebrated his debut with a post on their website celebrating his fine performance.

19 year old Ikwu played all of the games for the all conquering Nigerian U17 team of 2015 in central defence and picked up a booking for his trouble as Nigeria romp to the title in style.

He was also a part of the Nigerian U20 team that failed to qualify for the 2017 African U20 Cup of Nations after losing to Sudan in the final round of qualifiers.

Quick, strong and although not the tallest he is very good in the air as well and at Recreativo he now plays as a full back as against the centre defence role in played for Nigeria at youth level.
