Revealed – Super Eagles Line Up For South Africa Tie, Ezenwa Starts, Omeruo In, Rohr Goes For 3-5-2 Formation


The line up of the Super Eagles has been revealed to with coach Gernot Rohr going for three centre backs as first revealed by after their last training session.


Rohr also had a late change of mind in the goalkeeping department with Daniel Akpeyi losing out to Ikechukwu Ezenwa in the race to start in goal while Theophilus Afelokhai misses out on the matchday squad.

Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong and Kenneth Omeruo are the three central defenders which brought about the relegation of Ola Aina ‎to the substitute bench.

Kelechi Iheanacho was picked to support the top striker Ahmed Musa in attack ahead of Isaac Success who will now drop to the substitute bench. In midfield John Ogu and Oghenekaro Etebo will play behind Alex Iwobi.
