Arsenal picked all three points against Bournemouth courtesy of a 2-1 win away at the Vitality Stadium with Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi on from the start.
Iwobi started in coach Unai Emery 3-5-2 formation for the trip to Bournemouth and as usual he lined up on the left side of attack with Saed Kolasinac in front of him as the left wing back.
The Nigerian was instrumental in helping Arsenal scored what ended as the winner with his well timed and weighted pass locating Kolasinac who laid the ball on a plate for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to sweep home the winner.
Speaking after the game, Emery who has been credited with turning the form of the Nigerian around said his combination with Kolasinac was key in the win which see them move to one point behind Chelsea who are in 4th position.
“We play like that in pre-season and against Qarabag. We are finding our best performance with the system. The partnership with Kolasinac and Iwobi for example was very interesting”, he said at the post match conference.
