Michael Eneramo is arguably the most successful Nigerian player to have played for Tunisian giants Esperance since the turn of the century with the likes of the duo of Gabriel Okolosi and Edith Agoye ‎also turning out for the club before Eneramo.

The last two Nigerians who played for the club Bernard Bulbwa and Emem Eduok didn’t have the best of time at the club, meaning all eyes will be on last season NPFL top scorer Junior Lokosa who was recently unveiled by the club.

Lokosa will no doubt feel the pressure of trying to emulate the performance of Eneramo and even though their style of play isn’t the same, the one thing they share in common apart from being Nigerians is that they can score goals.

Last season, Lokosa who isn’t the quickest showed his great positional awareness in the box and calmness in front of goal, something Esperance badly need in attack judging by their performance at the Club World Cup last month.

Blessed with the ability to finish off half chances on either foot, he is a classic number 9, a breed which is slowly going out of fashion but he can still be effective especially if his teammates are able to load balls into the box.

Not the type to take on his man in a one on one situation but he is blessed with a sharp turn of pace and ability to leave his markers in their wake with smart turns and runs behind the defence.
