On loan Roma player Sadiq Umar says his new surrounding at Serie B side Perugia is perfect for his development following the termination of his loan deal with Scottish side Rangers with six months left to run on the deal.
Sadiq is at Perugia for the remaining six months of the season and played in his first game for the club over the weekend in a pre season game against Empoli, a game which ended 1-0 in favour of the Serie A side.
The game afforded the lanky striker the chance to get use to his teammates at his new club and his performance has put him in line for a start when they play Brescia in their first league game of 2019 following resumption for the second stanza of the league.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, Jololo as Sadiq is called praised the atmosphere around the club which is a whole lot encouraging and better than what he witnessed during his loan spell in Scotland with Rangers.
” Two different clubs and managers. I feel more at home here than I was at Rangers. The coach is partly why I decide to come here, hopefully I will help their aim of gaining promotion to the Serie A at the end of the season “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
