Two players of the senior national team of Nigeria called up to the team for the 6th of October friendly game against Russia in Moscow won’t be available for the game, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria will take on Russia in a friendly game, hoping to bounce back from a horrendous 0-3 defeat away to Guinea-Bissau in the AFCON 2027 qualifiers. A result which keeps them second in the group behind the team that defeated them.

The Super Eagles head out to Russia today and will be without the services of captain Wilfred Ndidi, who played through the pain barrier against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday.

Also newly invited Mubarak Suleiman of Slavia Prague won’t be available due to an injury. He was expected to be fit for the game but that wasn’t the case and he is now ruled out of the game.

Head coach Eric Chelle still has enough players to prosecute the game, and will use the game to try out majority of the players he intends to use in his task as the coach of the U23 team of Nigeria.
