OGN: We will also be happy to know if you have had any contact with officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)?

Kyle: No i havent but when I was at BK Häcken in Sweden, I got some calls from representatives from Nigeria and they wanted me to go down there but at that time i didnt take things seriously. Now Im older, more matured and take things more seriously , and if i would get the chance to go down there i would take it without any question.

OGN : What is your favourite position on the pitch and what are your main attributes as a defender.

Kyle: My best position is in central defence, but during the years I have played all over the field but I’m primarily a central defender even though i manage to play other positions as well. I’m a tall guy 195cm, but I’m fast and strong and got a decent foot. So my strength i would say is power and strength.

Bassey was signed on loan by Barcelona. A move which came as a surprise to many people as the 20 year old, although talented was never mentioned to be on the radar of the club until his transfer was announced.

He was supposed to spend time with the B team of Barcelona before making the step up to the main team in the summer, but work permit issues have denied him a chance to showcase his worth to coach Gerard Lopez of the B team.
However, Joseph Capdevila who writes for highly respected Barcelona based publication Sport revealed, Bassey has failed to impress the coaches hence just like Robert Concalves, who was signed last season in similar circumstances and later released by the club, Bassey could be on his way out as well.

” Ezekiel Bassey was signed without any coach of the B team watching him play, he is back in training with the team, much to the surprise of his teammates who have been so unimpressed by his lack of quality”, Concalves said.

” Barcelona has seen too many strange arrivals the past one year. But what seem certain is that Bassey will leave at the end of the season and that, surely, without many ever remembering he was once a player of the B team”.

Presence Of Ola Aina & Tyronne Ebuehi Could Send Musa Mohammed Out Of Super Eagles

As coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr continue his search for options at right back, Musa Mohammed could be the odd man out according to Owngoalnigeria.com Michael James.

James who watched the duo of Tyronne Ebuehi and Ola Aina during the Super Eagles practice session in London reckons they could be the solution to the right back woes of the team.

” Ebuehi is highly technical, forget about what you read about his lack of physical attributes. He makes up for it with a near perfect reading of play and he is a modern day wingback. A cultured Dutch full back”, James wrote.

” The thing I like about Ebuehi is the speed at which he turns defence into attack and his coverage, but that said Aina is a hell of a talent to have at our disposal.

” Tall, quick and very confident. Never shy of getting stuck in, as a matter of fact he loves getting into tackles and in the air boy is very good as well.

” Their emergence will cost some players their spot in the team, particularly Musa Mohammed, for now he is fourth choice right back. Kenneth Omeruo, Aina and Ebuehi are all ahead of him talent wise, he could lose his spot”.

Chelsea Legend – Ndidi Is More Like Yaya Toure In His Prime Than N’Golo Kante

0

The rise of Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi has lead to talks about the Nigerian being a like for like replacement for departed Leicester star N’Golo Kante, who is now at Chelsea.

However former Chelsea ace and legend Celestine Babayaro believes the 20 year old has a lot in similarity with Manchester City star Yaya Toure than Kante, as there is more to him than winning back possession.

” There’s a large difference in the way he plays and that of Kante probably similarities in terms of winning duels, but aerially Ndidi is better and a little bit more assured in position and very good at trying his luck from range.

” He is a bit like Patrick Viera but not so much, but he looks every inch like Toure in his prime, leggy, strong and shoots a lot, Toure was like that while at Monaco”, Babayaro told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Ndidi has improved a lot in the last few months. His ability on and off the ball has greatly improved in England. Most people doubted him but I never did.
