Owngoalnigeria.com can authoritatively reveal the name of the hotel the Super Eagles of Nigeria will lodge in London, when they take on Senegal and later Burkina Faso in two high profile friendly games.

The Super Eagles will take on Senegal on the 23rd of March before taking on Burkina Faso four days later at the Hive, home ground of Barnet Football Club.

They will however be lodged at the prestigious Crowne Plaza Hotel in London, located at 19 New Bridge Street, London EC4V 6DB, United Kingdom.

We gathered the choice of the hotel was due to it’s proximity to the airport and other connecting route, which won’t pose a problem to players of the Super Eagles coming in for the tie.

It is a four star hotel with direct connections to London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and St. Pancras International railway station, and three minutes walk from the River Thames.

Hope Rises For Enugu Rangers As CAF Could Disqualify Zamalek

0

Nigeria CAF Champions League flag bearer Enugu Rangers who were beaten 1-4 by Egyptian side Zamalek have been given a lifeline by the Confederation of Africa Football ahead of their return leg tie in Nigeria this weekend.

CAF has opened investigation into Zamalek over the use of a player, who appears to be ineligible to take part in the tournament but played and scored against Enugu Rangers last weekend.

Reports coming out of Egypt has it that Hossam Paulo who scored the second goal for the Whites in their 4-1 win over Rangers is alleged to have been wrongly registered by the Egyptian side.

If Paulo is found to be ineligible, Zamalek will be disqualified from the tournament , which will see Enugu Rangers progressed to the group stage of the CAF Champions League as they need not worry about overturning the 1-4 deficit suffered in Egypt.

In 2013, Enugu Rangers suffered disqualification from the same tournament for similar reason, when they played an ineligible player in goalkepper Emmanuel Daniel against CSS Sfaxien of Tunisia in the preliminary rounds of the tournament.

The Chelsea loanee gave Fenerbahce a route back into the game by scoring an own goal which saw his team early two goal lead cut by one in the 31st minutes, before Fenerbahce leveled scores to 2-2 eight minutes later.

Aatif Chahechouhe netted what ended as the winner for the visitors in the 58th minute, to further worsen the plight of the Nigerian defender whose own goal started the comeback for Fenerbahce.

It is the second time that Omeruo has put the ball in the net of his team this season, the first happened on the 5th of November 2016 in their 4-3 win over Gaziantepspor.

However his 12th minute own goal didn’t prove costly on that occasion unlike this time around. Aside the two own goals, he has been one of the top performers for the team, with a goal to his name already, aside proving his versatility by playing comfortably well as a defensive midfielder.
