Exclusive – Manchester City Keeping Close Watch On Uruguay Based Nigerian Midfielder Ibeh

English Premier League giants Manchester City are reportedly still interested in the services of 21 year old Nigerian midfielder Bruno Ibeh, who plays for Uruguayan Primera Division side Nacional.

Ibeh who is on a season long loan to second division side Torque was spotted by some scouts from Manchester City, who in turn recommended him to Nacional in January 2015.

Nacional tested him and decided to sign him, and moved him straight to their reserves, but a torn meniscus deny him the chance to be actively involved in the team, who were crowned champions of the Reserve Championship ahead of River Plate.

The scouts from Manchester City who were pivotal in his move to Uruguay are still in contact with Ibeh, who could be offered a trial chance with the team in the nearest future.

Born in Owerri, South Eastern Nigeria, he stands out with an intimidating physique and has very good handling of the ball as well as crisp, neat passes especially in tight spaces.

Ex Eagles Coach Siasia Applies To Coach South Africa Against Nigeria In AFCON 2019 Qualifiers

Two times coach of the Super Eagles Samson Siasia has applied for the vacant managerial job of the coach of the national team of South Africa.

According to Soccer Laduma, the Rio 2016 bronze medal winning coach has applied for the vacant job of the head coach of South Africa, who are without a substantive coach since the axing of Shakes Mashaba.

Soccer Laduma also claimed that his application for the job has been confirmed by Nico Mbonani,a football agent.

South Africa are in the same group with Nigeria in the race to be at the 2019 Africa Cup of nations, and Siasia who was in charge when Nigeria’s hope of qualifying for the ongoing Africa Cup of nations could lead them if he is employed by South Africa Football Association (SAFA).

Former Chelsea left full back Celestine Babayaro says Victor Moses will cause Arsenal trouble on the right when both teams clash this weekend in the English Premier League.

The future of former Nigeria U-17 and 20 midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali at English Premier League side Manchester City is looking bleak with the club not keen on offering fresh terms.

Nwakali’s present contract with the team has 18 months to run, but the 20 year old who spent last season on loan to relegated Norwegian side IK Start has not been offered fresh terms.

Manchester City reportedly tried to ship him out on loan to three German clubs during the just concluded January transfer window, but their offer was rejected.

The midfielder who joined the team alongside Kelechi Iheanacho in 2014 has not have the best of time at the club unlike his Nigeria compatriot, no thanks to injuries and options in his preferred midfield role.

Zaidu joined Gil Vicente in April 2016 alongside fellow Nigerian Collins Nonso after a short trial in Kaduna attended by scouts of the Portuguese side.
