Adviser Pulls Flying Eagles Ace Zakari Out Of Talks With Club Africain, Talks Up European Move

Highly rated Nigeria U-20 defender Lukman Zakari won’t be joining Tunisian side Club Africain after his career adviser pull the plug on the move, and ordered the 18 year old back to Nigeria.

Zakari arrived Tunisia two weeks ago to team up with Sfaxien but the move was called off due to a transfer ban on the team by FIFA. Club Africain reportedly seized the opportunity to snap him up.

However talks which were progressing nicely were put to a halt by Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman, who advises the U-17 World Cup winner on his career.

” Zakari won’t be joining Club Africain due to issues I will discuss in few days time but for now the move is off. I called it off due to reasons, which are very much what he needs right now”, Mowiz told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Before the end of the transfer window, we will hopefully reply one of the numerous teams who have been on his trail. I don’t know where and when he will leave, but Zakari will make a move that will benefit his career in the long run”.

One time Super Eagles invitee Idris Ahmed says he is ready for a return to professional football action after the successful completion of his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Ahmed who last represented Nasarawa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) took a break from active football to complete his NYSC as demanded by the educational set up in Nigeria.

” I took a break to focus on my education and National Youth Service (NYSC), I had to stay off football for a while due to it but have been keeping fit while away from active football.

” Am through with my NYSC , my parent at a time wanted me to get over with it before focusing on my career as a footballer. Am ready to return to the pitch”, Ahmed told Owngoalnigeria.com.

German-Nigerian forward Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee has for the third time since the start of the year switched agent.

Sarenren Bazee has taken the 2. Bundesliga by storm this season with strong performances for Hannover 96, a situation which has caught the attention of the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr.

Rohr has lined up the forward to be invited to the senior national team of Nigeria for one of their friendly games, but his team are currently battling to tie him down to a new deal.

Hannover 96 are presently in talks with his third agent on a contract extension amid interest from Bundesliga sides. Talks have so far suffered set backs no thanks to his change of agents.

The 20 year old was formerly represented by Nigerian agent Akin Adewunmi but parted ways with him to team up with well known German Sport agency Sports Total. It was gathered talks with the latter were already at an advanced stage until Tuesday.

A man named Nadir Kama reportedly turned up at the club to introduce himself as the new agent of the talented forward, which took the club unaware and compounded any hope of an immediate resolution of his contract impasse.

Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile has revealed the reason why he was recalled from loan by French giants Monaco.

Echiejile’s loan deal with Belgian side Standard Liege was cancelled by the French side as first reported by Owngoalnigeria.com. The 28 year old has now revealed the reason behind his recall.

Speaking exclusively to AOIfootball.com after arriving in camp, the former Sporting Braga left wing back said he is poised for the challenge.

CD Feirense and Super Eagles star Oghenekaro Etebo will later today undergo a medical scan on his left knee after leaving the pitch against Vitoria Guimaraes due to the pains in the knee.

Etebo went down unchallenged clutching his left knee and groaning in pains against Vitoria Guimaraes during the weekend, a situation that lead to his substitution in their 0-0 draw.

The scan to discover the severity of the injury was not carried out immediately due to the swollen nature of the knee, and a source close to the player revealed it will be done today.

” There are fears it could be worse than what many think. He went down unchallenged, but for now nothing is certain until the scan is done”, a source told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Hull City Thrashing Out Terms With Fenerbahce Over Emmanuel Emenike

Hull City have made an enquiry for Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike a source close to the Istanbul giants revealed to Turkish-Football.com.

The Tigers want Emenike on a loan but Fenerbahce are keen on a permanent move for the Nigerian international.

Fenerbahce manager Dick Advocaat has told Emenike that he is free to leave over the January transfer window.

Emenike is no stranger to Premier League football having spent last season on loan at West Ham.

The powerful striker struggled at the Hammers scoring just four times in 19 appearances.

Emenike also has experience playing top tier football in Turkey, Russia playing for Fenerbahce and Spartak Moscow.

The 29-year-old has seven goals four assists for Fenerbahce in 20 appearances this season.

Despite having a decent goal scoring record this season Emenike has fallen out with Advocaat and is expected to leave.

Fenerbahce loaned Emenike last season but now want to sell him on a permanent deal.

The striker has 37 international caps for Nigeria and has scored nine goals. Emenike was part of the Nigeria side that won the 2016 Africa Cup of Nations.

Emenike is keen on a return to the Premier League and Hull City have been struggling for goals this season.

The Tigers are currently in 18th place and have scored just 20 goals in the Premier League this season. Only Middlesbrough have found the back of the net fewer times than Hull City (17).

Hull are currently in a relegation battle tied on 16 points with Crystal Palace who are in 17th place on goal difference.

Fenerbahce meanwhile are fourth in the Turkish Super League and booked a place in the Europa League Round of 32 after topping Group A which also included Manchester United.

Tianjin Teda have retired their number 12 jersey, the shirt number Mikel wore during his 11 years stay at Stamford Bridge, and the 29 year old jumped at the chance of once again wearing the number 10 jersey he has always love since his days as a youth international for Nigeria.

Mikel captained the team in their 2-6 friendly loss to German side St. Pauli, and in same game he found the back of the net for his new side in the iconic number 10 shirt and in his favourite role as an attacking midfielder.

The captain of the Super Eagles now plays just behind the main striker for his team, same role he plays for Nigeria in international games as opposed to the defensive midfield role he played during his time at Chelsea.
