Freiburg Goalkeeper Explains Why He Is Not Interested In Playing For Super Eagles

0

The first choice goalkeeper of the U21 team of Germany Noah Atubolu has explained why he is motivated to play for Germany ahead of the senior national team of Nigeria, who are reportedly keen on having him.

Born to a Nigerian father and a German mother, the 23 year old is eligible for both nations at senior level and last season after a breakthrough performance his international future became a hot topic with Nigeria pushing for him to switch his allegiance to the Super Eagles.

He saved 4 straight penalties last season setting a record in Bundesliga, which also includes ten clean sheets in 26 games, which helped Freiburg to secure a spot in next season’s Europa League.

However he decided to stay with the country of his birth and he is currently campaigning with their U21 at the ongoing UEFA Euros tournament, keeping goal in their first two games of the tournament so far.

Asked about his chances of making it to the senior team of Germany, he revealed his motivation which is to be the first black goalkeeper to be in goal for the German team, a feat he feels is achievable because of the ages of those currently ahead of him in the senior team setup.

“Becoming the first black goalkeeper in Germany’s senior team would be something special; it’s never happened before. But it doesn’t really matter to me what colour someone’s skin is. In the end, performance should always be the deciding factor.”

Currently ahead of him in the senior team setup are goalkeepers who are all 30 and above namely Marc-André ter Stegen (33), Oliver Baumann (35) and Stefan Ortega (32) and Alexander Nübel who is the only goalkeeper under 30 (28).

“I’d say that now is a good time for me, because Manuel Neuer is no longer here and Marc-André ter Stegen probably won’t be playing for the national team for a very long time either. Back then, Neuer was the best in the world – but now we no longer have just one best goalkeeper, but several who are in the running. I think this could be an advantage for me”, said Atubolu about his chances in the future”.

He Keeps Changing His Mind – Transfer Expert Says Osimhen Is Most Complicated Player In Transfer History

0

Respected football transfer journalist Alfredo Pedulla says Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen is the most complicated player in the history of players transfer.

Osimhen spent last season on loan to Galatasary firing the Turkish side to the league and cup title. He is expected to leave Napoli on a permanent deal before the close to the summer transfer window.

He has so far rejected a mind blowing offer form Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal insisting that he wants to remain in Europe. However he is yet to decide on his next destination which Pedulla said no one is certain because he keeps changing his mind.

Pedulla said while he is keen on remaining in Europe, they are few teams who are genuinely pushing for his signature. For now none of the top teams rumoured to be interested in him have made an offer for his signing with Napoli looking for a transfer fee in excess of €70m.

Pedullà sat down with The Italian Football Podcast to discuss the current landscape and specifically Osimhen.

“Look, with Osimhen it’s something that can change every day. I think he’s been one of the most complicated players in the history of the market in the last 10 years.

“It was already complicated last summer, you’ll remember. Then he decided to choose Galatasaray. Now, if he wanted to take the money, excuse me if I tell you something so clearly, without beating around the bush, he would already be the new striker of Al Hilal.

“Al Hilal offered him €35m a season plus bonuses to get to €40m. Then there was the Club World Cup. And he, like Theo Hernandez, decided not to go.

“I also tell you that Galatasaray is hoping but it’s not easy, that the Premier League clubs as of today have not made any concrete moves so far and Juventus cannot be excluded, but it is an operation that costs money,” continued Pedullà.

“If Giuntoli had stayed, I would have told you today that Osimhen would have been the new Juventus striker with an 80% certainty after the Club World Cup. Now, without Giuntoli, maybe it won’t be 80%, but until he makes a decision, Juventus will have some hope to maybe bring this operation home later.

“So it’s a difficult situation. Every day he changes his mind. The night before he thinks one thing and the day after he thinks another. So he has to be followed step by step.”

Ex Agent Warns Teams About Signing Osimhen, Shares Video Of His Attack On Ex Super Eagles Coach

0

A former agent of Victor Osimhen has warned clubs against signing the 26 year old who had a very productive spell at Turkish side Galatasary, where he spent the season on loan from Napoli.

Napoli are willing to let the forward leave for his release clause of around €70m , which only Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal have been open to matching since he was made available.

However he has no intention of heading to the Middle East hence his decision to snub the mega money he was offered. His main priority is to remain in Europe.

His former agent isn’t helping his case, probably seething from the fact that he lost the chance to continue managing the forward, even though their relationship have been over for almost three years.

” I am in a Whatsapp group with a couple of agents and anytime Osimhen’s link is shared he comes with a counter and about four times he shared the video of Osimhen going against former Super Eagles coach Finidi George. It’s appalling to be honest”, a Nigerian agent based in England revealed.

Osimhen went on Instagram live to rant against the coach following a report in the press, where it was said that he questioned the commitment of the forward over his withdrawal from the world cup qualifiers games against South Africa and Benin Republic.

New Coach Of Lazio Disagree With Club On Actual Position Of Super Eagles Star

0

New coach of Lazio Maurizio Sarri says he sees Nigeria international midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru as an attacking midfielder as opposed to what he was widely told by staff at the club, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The Nigerian played in various positions at the club last season, which was his first following his loan with obligation to buy transfer from Turkish side Hatayspor.

Lazio triggered the option of signing him permanently after meeting the provision for the deal to be made permanent. He played a total of 20 league games with three goals and one assist under coach Marco Baroni.

Baroni left at the end of the season and now Sarri has given his opinion on the 24 year old , who has seven senior international appearances for Nigeria.

“I don’t know what Dele-Bashiru is like in dribbling, let’s see. I saw a player playing as an attacking midfielder who everyone tells me isn’t an attacking midfielder”, he told Speaking to LaLazioSiamoNoi.

“Let’s try to bring him back to midfield and see what evolution he can have. I’ve heard good things about him in the non-Lazio jobs. And I’m not talking about the Lazio environment, but about sports directors from other clubs. He probably has some qualities, obviously”.

Done Deal: Riolo Confirms Deal For Super Eagles Star To Join Ligue 1 Side

0

Foremost French journalist Daniel Riolo says all is in place for Nigeria international forward Moses Simon to join newly promoted French Ligue 1 side Paris FC from fellow league side Nantes, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Like we first reported four days ago, the newly promoted side backed by the wealthy Arnault family and the Red Bull brand want the Nigerian to be their marquee signing as they get set for their debut campaign in Ligue 1.

Simon who has a year to go on his deal at Nantes, where he has been the past six seasons has given his consent to the move, forcing both teams to trash out the details of the deal which will see him earn around twice his current pay.

Paris FC first offer of €5m was rejected by the Canaries but recent reports suggest that an agreement is close to being reached for slightly above that amount aside add ons.

“They are very ambitious, it will happen”, Riolo said in an interview.

“Moses Simon, yes, he’s coming to PFC. It’s a good idea if you pair him with a guy who puts the ball in the back of the net anyway, because he’s not a goalscorer. Moses Simon is a step, not an end in itself. For me, the signal will be good for PFC when they have restructured their midfield, when they take a number 9 and a good central defender’, the journalist explained.

“We’re only at the beginning. I want to be patient, but I have no doubt because they are very ambitious, it will happen,” he concluded.

How Football Fans and Tech Enthusiasts Are Turning to the Best Telegram Client Apps for Smarter Matchday Chats

0

In the fast-paced world of modern football, staying connected to real-time news, injury updates, team lineups, live discussions, and exclusive fan content is more vital than ever. Whether you’re a die-hard supporter of Manchester City, Real Madrid, or a grassroots league underdog, the need for rapid, organized communication is universal. That’s where technology steps in – and among the standout tools in recent years is Telegram.

Telegram, originally developed as a fast, secure, and cloud-based messaging app, has become a global go-to for football fans who want more than basic chat functionality. With customizable bots, high-speed media sharing, and multi-platform compatibility, Telegram supports everything from fantasy football coordination to matchday streaming alerts.

However, what many fans may not realize is that the official Telegram app is only part of the story. There are many client apps based on the Telegram API that offer enhanced experiences tailored to specific user needs. These clients provide extra privacy settings, visual customizations, unique folder options, and advanced file management – making them especially attractive to tech-savvy football communities.

Among these, Nicegram has risen as a crowd favorite for its intuitive design and flexible features. Positioned as one of the best Telegram client apps currently available, Nicegram provides a game-changing experience for anyone following football on mobile. With chat folders, anonymous forwarding, and folder hiding capabilities, it’s especially well-suited for those in multiple football fan groups or those running fantasy leagues with complex chat structures.

Whether you’re tracking live scores, organizing your club’s five-a-side training session, or moderating a heated group debate about VAR decisions, choosing the best Telegram client is about maximizing efficiency while staying plugged into the heart of the game. Explore the best Telegram client apps available for football fans today and see why they matter.

Why Football Fans Need Advanced Telegram Clients

Football is more than just a 90-minute game. It’s a global culture – one that spans analysis, banter, live reactions, betting tips, ticket resales, fan protests, and post-match breakdowns. The modern football fan doesn’t just watch; they participate. And that participation happens online – often in real time.

Telegram stands out because it offers:

  • End-to-end encryption
  • Group sizes of up to 200,000 members
  • File sharing of up to 2GB
  • Bot support for match alerts and stats
  • Cloud synchronization across devices

But Telegram’s real power is amplified through its client apps. The best Telegram client gives users enhanced organization tools and security that are perfect for people who interact in large, football-focused communities.

Take for example the chaotic nature of transfer season: dozens of sources, conflicting reports, insider leaks, and journalist updates flood Telegram channels. A high-performance client can help you sort through this with folders, filters, and smart notifications. It’s not just about messages – it’s about managing the chaos efficiently.

3. Telegram X

Telegram X was created by Telegram’s own developers as a testbed for future updates, but it turned out so sleek and efficient that it now has its own fanbase. Benefits for football fans include:

  • Swipe-based navigation to jump quickly between chats

For the tech-inclined football fan who craves more control, Graph Messenger delivers advanced features such as:

  • Hidden sections for private or sensitive chats
  • Built-in download manager (ideal for large video files)

The app shines in global football communities where language barriers can sometimes hinder conversation. With built-in translation and folder-specific security, Graph Messenger is great for fans participating in multilingual leagues, international fan groups, or simply discussing Champions League matches with friends across the globe.

5. Vidogram

Vidogram is another powerful Telegram client, known especially for its focus on multimedia and voice call enhancements. For fans who love to share commentary, post reactions, or conduct live fan discussions, Vidogram has:

  • Built-in voice changers
  • Video calling
  • Advanced in-chat media previews
  • Smart bot access and integration

The voice-changer feature might seem gimmicky at first, but for communities that run interactive game nights, football trivia, or lighthearted group debates, it adds a layer of fun and engagement.

Enhancing the Matchday Experience with the Best Telegram Client

When the whistle blows and the match begins, you don’t want to be stuck with laggy notifications or messy chat layouts. Choosing the best Telegram client ensures that your football conversations stay focused, your alerts come through fast, and your files (like replays and tactical diagrams) are easy to manage.

The apps listed above not only improve the Telegram experience – they elevate the way football fans interact with the sport, each other, and the wider community. Whether you’re a fantasy league commissioner, a youth coach, or simply a die-hard supporter who never misses a minute, upgrading your Telegram client could be one of the smartest off-pitch moves you make this season.

The New Frontier of Football Fandom

Prior to the game, Luiz who has stings at Atletico Madrid and Chelsea during his playing days pointed out the Nigerian as the one who is very important to the way the Tunisians play.

“Ogbelu is a very important player for Esperance”, the coach said just before the game and the 22 year old didn’t disappoint as he held his own in the middle of the pitch for his side, despite the presence of seasoned veteran in ex Chelsea and Arsenal star Jorghinho up against him.

Agent Explains Decision Behind Free Transfer Of Super Eagles AFCON Star To Championship Side

0

The agent of Nigeria international defender Semi Ajayi has explained why his client decided to join English Championship side following the expiration of his deal with fellow Championship side West Bromwich Albion.

Ajayi spent the last seven seasons with West Bromwich Albion, a team he joined from Rotherham United playing a total of 170 goals , where he found the back of the net 12 times from his role as a center back.

He also broke into the senior national team of Nigeria playing a total of 39 games, cementing his spot at the heart of the defence in the past two years and also had a top star performance at the last AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, where Nigeria finished as runners up behind the host.

At club level, his next destination was a cause for concern but his agent Larry Orban says a move to Hull City is highly likely after positive talks between all parties involved in the deal.

” I spoke to someone who is close to Ajayi over an offer for him elsewhere, but his agent has already agreed a deal with Hull City. His reason was that they have long being interested in him so I told my people to look for another option”, a licensed agent in London told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

I Brought Ndidi, Iheanacho And Iwobi – Ex Super Eagles Coach Boast, Blast Chelle Again

0

The former coach and captain of the senior national team of Nigeria Sunday Oliseh has once again fired another salvo in the direction of the head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Oliseh who has not hidden his disapproval of the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to engage the Malian made his point again in an interview on Channels television, monitored by our editorial team.

”I am totally against having that role not being handed over to a Nigerian because we have qualified Nigerians who can do that job,” he said.

When asked about the current situation of the Super Eagles who are having a crisis in midfield, Oliseh listed the players he brought into that position during his reign as coach in that same position.

“When you are talking of a defensive midfield role, I was the one who brought in the young man Wilfred Ndidi. It was at the same time I brought in Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho, and I gave them their first call-up because they had the quality to do it,” Oliseh said.
