Sheffield United Complete Signing Of Another Nigerian Player

0

English Championship side Sheffield United have completed the signing of 20 year old Nigerian Ehije Ukaki six months after signing of his fellow Nigerian Christian Nwachukwu from the same club Botev Plovdiv, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The 20 year old scored seven goals in 37 games in all competitions last season. A tally that has led to questions about signing the winger on a three year deal, forcing head coach Chris Wilder to defend his signing.

“Ehije is a player who has been identified through our data driven strategy and is someone we’re looking forward to developing,” Blades boss Chris Wilder told the club website.

“He’s an emerging talent, still only 20, who has enjoyed some experience of European football early in his career, so there’s a base to work from”, he explained.

Ukaki also took to social media to express his happiness at joining the Championship side who lost out on promotion to the English Premier League through the play off, which was won by Sunderland. “Hello Blades fans, it is Ehije Ukaki here. It’s great to be signing for Sheffield United, I am looking forward to moving over, I am ready for the challenge”, he said on his Instagram page.

FIFA Rankings: Super Eagles Back In Africa’s Top 5 After Unity Cup Triumph, Russia Friendly

0

The senior national team of Nigeria is back in the top 5 rated teams on the African continent after winning the Unity Cup tournament and also holding Russia to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Led by Eric Chelle, the team defeated Ghana 2-1 in the Unity Cup final before beating Jamaica 5-4 on penalties after playing out a 2-2 draw in regulation time. The results have helped the team’s placement in the latest rankings.

In the previous rankings, the Nigerian team who were coming off a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe at home and a 2-0 win away to Rwanda in the world cup qualifiers fell out of the top five nations in Africa.

However they are back in the mix with despite retaining their spot in the world rankings in 43rd position. It moved them to behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt and Algeria respectively, with champions of the AFCON Cote d’Ivoire dropping to sixth.

Tunisia, Camerooon, Mali and South Africa completes the top ten ranked African nations after the lady round of international games. Globally Argentina, Spain, France, England and Brazil are still the top five.

Chelle’s Training Method Too Complex And Hard – Newly Invited Super Eagles Player Reveals

0

The training methods of head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has been put to question by a player who was a part of the team to the recently concluded Unity Cup in England, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chelle handed debut to around six players during the course of the tournament with most from teams in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The team ended up winning the tournament with a 2-1 win over Ghana, and a 5-4 penalty kicks win over Jamaica in the final after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

The team later proceeded to Moscow, where they played out a 1-1 draw against Russia in an international friendly game. Chelle also continued with his aim of taking a close look at new players in the team ahead for the resumption of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

One of the players who was a part of the team said the training methods of the coach was so rigours and complex that he thought of quitting the team by feigning Injury, before his debut at the Unity Cup.

” We have to run 12 laps from one post to another , and for some of us who just ended the league in Nigeria we couldn’t cope. I saw the report where you talked about players from the NPFL struggling and it’s true because of the hard nature of it”, he revealed.

” Chelle wants players who are physically imposing, quick and also full of energy. I guess that is why a player like Issac Saviour who we thought was the best in training didn’t get to play. You can ask the foreign based players they all loved Saviour but the coach had other ideas and it’s why he didn’t play in both engagements”.

The Most Popular E-Sports Tournaments in the World

0

Just as you start thinking you’re at the pro level in a game, you watch a world tournament, which is enough to humble you. You’d be amazed at the cat-like reflexes the players have once they enter a tournament.

Don’t lose heart and start practicing until you finally believe you have what it takes to enter a world tournament. You can practice on all your favorite games by playing with players from all over the world through an online mode.

While online gaming is all about your skills, you do need the right hardware and a reliable internet connection. Regardless of whether you play on a console or a PC, I recommend Xfinity Internet since I began my online gaming journey on that too, and it never let me down!

Along with challenging people online, you can also watch all the popular tournaments to observe players’ strategies to form one of your own. Here are some famous tournaments that you should check out.

The League of Legends World Championship

League of Legends has been around for a while now, and it is considered to be among the best strategy-based games of all time. The game is played between two teams consisting of 5 players each. The objective of the game is to infiltrate the opposing team’s territory and destroy their “Nexus”.

The Nexus is heavily guarded by players and other defensive structures. It is up to the team members to figure out how to defend their own Nexus and destroy the one at the enemy team’s base. The League of Legends World Championship is held by Riot Games, creators of the game.

The International

This is a famous tournament held for the ever-popular Defense of the Ancients 2 (or DOTA 2 for short). You would be surprised that League of Legends takes a lot of inspiration from DOTA, which is why both games might seem very similar to each other.

The game mode that is usually played in the tournament is the Captains mode. It’s a 5 vs. 5 mode, and the way the game plays out is more or less the same as League of Legends. The captains choose 7 heroes, and it is up to the players to pick their preferred hero to play with.

The purpose of the game is to head to your enemy’s base and destroy the “Ancient” that is located at the center. The Ancient is a structure, much like the Nexus in League of Legends. You’ll also have to take down their defense towers as you go, and you must also keep up your defenses at all times!

ESL One

The ESL One is a popular tournament platform for games like DOTA 2 and CS: GO. Since I’ve already talked about the former, I’ll keep my focus on CS: GO for this one. Just like most other online games, it is played between two teams consisting of 5 players each.

However, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (or Counter-Strike 2) is a first-person shooter (FPS) game, which is why you need to be good at gunplay for this one.

All CS games have two teams consisting of the Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists. The purpose of both of the teams is to get as many eliminations as they can.

However, in the Captains mode, the Terrorists team has to plant a bomb at a set point on the map, and the Counter-Terrorists must either find the bomb and defuse it or simply just stop the opposing team from planting it in the first place.

The team that wins the first 16 rounds wins the game. It might sound easy, but it isn’t when the players in the other team have amazing aim and reflexes, which is why you have to be on the tip of your toes during every match.

Also, keep in mind that you need to work with your team, so all of you must be on the same page with your strategy.

Evolution Championship Series

Commonly known as the EVO series, I would be surprised if you told me you didn’t know about it. Though the championship is held for mainstream fighting games, the most popular game played in the tournament is Tekken.

Previously, the tournament was dominated by Tekken 7, and the undisputed champion was Arslan Ash from Pakistan every time. Then they switched from Tekken 7 to Tekken 8, and guess who the champion is now? Still Arslan Ash!

Tekken is the kind of game that anyone can play. You just have to pick your favorite character and grind it. You’ll need to master combos and dodges so that you can inflict more damage than take it. You should also be quick to parry grapples since they tend to deal a lot more damage.

As kids, everyone told us that playing video games rots your brains and that it has no future. Well, I guess they were wrong all along, considering that we have world championships now with prize pools in the millions.

Who knows, maybe if you put in enough practice, you could become the next champion of your favorite game.

Tactical Analysis: How Did Real Madrid Beat Manchester City at Etihad?

0

That was una buena batalla (one good battle), wasn’t it?!

Well, it wasn’t (at least for the last 60 minutes). Fans ran the show with a banner poking Los Blancos for their boycott of the Ballon d’Or ceremony. Who ran the show apart from the fans? One of them they were trying to poke – Vinicius.

City were good in the first 30 minutes of the game until Grealish got injured. That shifted the game’s control to the visitors (Real Madrid). Haaland’s opener was canceled shortly after Kylian Mbappe fluked the ball past the goal through the leaky City defense.

All in all, City struggled to gain control back but they couldn’t. How did that happen? Let’s take a deeper look.

Negative Impact Substitutes from Pep Guardiola

Subs should darle la vuelta al juego (turn the game around) for the team they play for. But last night it was quite the opposite. At half-time, Rico Lewis replaced the injured Manuel Akanji and in the 60th minute, Nathan Ake was replaced by Mateo Kovacic. The game went on, and Rico Lewis was the first one to make the mistake that led to a conversion from Brahim Diaz.

Later, it was a wrong pass from Mateo Kovacic that led the City’s defense to a vulnerable position. Then came the extra-time winner from none other than the Englishman Jude Bellingham.

I have said in some of my other posts that the squad depth at City is way too thin for any cubiertos (silverware) this season. The subs are not on point most of the time, and they always struggle to maintain the momentum of the game.

The Winning Mentality is Just Not There

It is not the same City as last season. They are too weak when it comes to the mentality. They don’t have the same spirit, and the club direly needs a complete overhaul of the team.

Conceding goals is a part of the game, but losing the will and determination to turn the game around is not okay, especially for a team of Manchester City’s status.

What’s wrong then?

I rewatched the games in high-definition to find out the problems through my surefire Cox Internet. Their Cox en español customer support recommended that I get their 250 Mbps connection, which was more than enough for live streaming at high definition. Though the watching experience was seamless and great, being a Cityzen, I didn’t like what I saw.

I have seen players making mistakes around the dangerous zones of the pitch. Those mistakes were mainly because of the confianza perdida (lost confidence) that City needs to recapture. Lack of confidence leads to lost determination, and most importantly, focus.

The solution I see is a complete overhaul of the squad except for Haaland and Gvardiol. Those lads are trying to give everything they can on the pitch.

No Defending ‘Yet Again’

You go through the opponent’s defense and score the goal that could be one of the many winning goals of the game. But the thing is that you have to defend your lead to sustain the winning. The full off-the-ball game was just awful against Madrid from Manchester City’s defense.

The backline was esparcidos por el campo (scattered across the pitch), and the midfield was non-existent.

That was the exact reason they have conceded six more goals than they conceded in the whole season in 2023-24. Another issue here is the physicality, which might directly correlate to the mentality. There is not enough fuel in the team, whenever they hit the 75th minute of the game.

And then the usual happens: goals are being conceded.

The Old-Age Factor

When footballers hit their 30s, they are considered in their prime but at City, it is quite the opposite.

The midfield of De Bruyne, Gundogan, and Bernardo Silva are all in their 30s, and they are the only starters left in the game. I think Modric (who is close to being 40) played a better game than the mentioned midfield trio of City.

The young players, on the other hand, neither have enough experience, nor the mentality to add anything valuable to the team. The only solution is a renovation project for the whole team from scratch.

I think that’s it for the tactical analysis. If I miss anything, you can always drop your comments and I will try to incorporate them in my upcoming post.

Best Financing Options For Buying A Used Car in Dubai, UAE

0

Buying used cars in Dubai makes one able to own a dependable vehicle without being burdened by the high price tag of a new car. However, not everyone can afford to pay the full cost of the car in one go. Fortunately, there are quite a few financing options available in the UAE that make buying used cars in Dubai more accessible and affordable. Here we will present the best alternatives available to a purchaser and how you can make an informed choice for your next car buy.

1. Bank auto loans

Bank loans are the common way to finance a used car in the UAE. Most local and international banks in Dubai offer auto loans specifically tailored for used vehicles. The benefits of this loan include competitive interest rates, flexible repayment terms, and high loan amounts—often up to 80% of the car’s value.

Requirements
● Valid UAE residence visa
● Proof of income or salary certificate
● Down payment (generally 20% of the car’s value)
Compare the offers from different banks in order to avail the one with the lowest interest rate and best terms. Some of the top banks for a used car loan are Emirates NBD, ADCB, and FAB.

2. Car dealer financing plans

In-house financing plans for buyers are common among many car dealerships in Dubai. The biggest advantage of such plans is the hassle-free and smooth process of financing managed by a dealership.

The plans often come with promotional offers such as low- or even zero-interest rates for a stipulated period of time. Be cautious, however, and read the fine print; after the promotion period, those interest rates could shoot up quickly.

For example, if you’re looking for convertible cars for sale in Dubai, many dealers provide financing solutions tailored to your budget. Check with reputable dealers to explore their financing options.

3. Islamic auto financing

Islamic banks in the UAE, catering to purchases seeking Sharia-compliant financing alternatives, offer Murabaha-based or Ijarah-based car financing. Under Murabaha, the bank will purchase the car and subsequently sell it to a buyer at a fixed margin of profit. Under Ijarah, the bank will lease the car until full payment is made.

Benefits
● No interest charged as it is Sharia-compliant
● Fixed monthly payments
● Clear terms
The leading institutions for Islamic auto financing include Dubai Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.

4. Personal loans

You can also finance a used car in Dubai using a personal loan. Personal loans differ from auto loans since they are not secured by the value of the vehicle, leaving you with more leeway. That would be ideal if you want no restriction on the type or age of the car.

However, personal loans generally have higher interest rates than auto loans. It is important to consider your repayment ability before going for this option.

5. Employer assistance programs

Some employers in Dubai offer car financing as part of their employee benefits package. The programs may include interest-free loans or subsidies for buying a car. If your employer offers such benefits, this can be a cost-effective way to finance your purchase. Please check with your HR department to find out if this is an option available to you.

6. Peer-to-peer lending platforms

Over the last couple of years, peer-to-peer lending platforms have become quite popular. These are platforms that bring borrowers and lenders together, typically at much lower interest rates than going to a bank and with flexible terms. Some of the P2P lending platforms in UAE include Beehive and Yallacompare. While this option can be useful, ensure that the platform you operate with is credible and regulated so as not to expose yourself to possible risks.

7. Credit card financing
A buyer who has a high credit limit may choose to finance a used car through a credit card. Many credit card providers in Dubai allow installment plans at low or even zero interest rates for high-cost items like cars.
Pros
● Quick approval process
● Flexible repayment periods

However, you will be charged high interest rates if the balance is not paid off during the promotional period. Go for this option only when you are sure of making all installment payments on time.

Conclusion

Pre-owned car financing in Dubai does not have to be that complex. Consider bank loans, dealer financing, and Islamic auto financing before deciding which one is most convenient for your budget and needs. Never accept any deal before comparing the offers and considering all the details provided in the contract; if done properly, your dream car will be yours in Dubai. You can also explore a marketplace like OneClickDrive as some dealers may offer financing options for buyers. Check in with each dealer to make such an inquiry.

What stood out in the 2024/25 season was the unpredictability of each team. Week after week, fans were subjected to dramatic upsets and last-minute wins. Newly promoted Ikorodu City remained objective and were not intimidated by established teams. They frequently upset the odds and finally finished in 4th position, adding to the competitive edge of the league.

In the new 2025/26 season, we expect games to become even tighter and competitive. The trend of many fixtures being decided by a single goal is expected to continue as each team cannot afford complacency. Unpredictability is what will make the next season special. Will Remo Stars defend their title, or will another underdog finally triumph over the regulars? Betway will have all the latest news and season fixtures of the league.
Controversies

Even as the NPFL becomes competitive, a good number of games are still affected by officiating controversies. Referring issues in the league remained a hot topic last season, with some teams feeling they were disenfranchised by decisions of referees and denied a win.

A major highlight of this controversy was witnessed on Matchday 9 between Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars, where Super Eagles veteran Ahmed Musa described NPLF referees as moral killers and questioned their integrity.

Such criticism from players and fans underscored the need for officiating reforms in the league. As we look forward to the 2025/26 season, referees are going through training from officiating experts so that the credibility of the NPFL is protected. Players, together with fan,s will expect transparency, fairness, and consistency in match officials.
Conclusion

As the new season kicks off later this year, talent, planning, and professionalism are expected to outweigh reputation and history. The title is no longer guaranteed for the established teams, everyone has to fight for it as the league’s competitiveness increases. It is going to be a fun season, filled with history and good memories.

Comparative Edge: Examining Online Slots Market Competitor Strategies

0

Operators in the dynamic and very competitive online slot market continuously try to grab player interest and loyalty. Maintaining a sustained competitive edge in this environment calls for a proactive attitude to innovation and a thorough awareness of opponent strategies, not only a wide range of games.

This study is crucial for platforms that specialize in Direct web slots (เว็บสล็อตเว็บตรง) since it guides choices on game selection, marketing, user experience, and general company growth. Through analysis of competitor performance and identification of their shortcomings, a platform can deliberately set itself for long-term success.

Finding Main Rivals

Any strong competitive study starts with correctly identifying the main rivals in the online slot market. This goes beyond just calling out direct competitors; it also includes knowing who is fighting for the same target demographic and what special value propositions they have. From niche platforms emphasizing particular game categories or geographical markets to massive, well-known worldwide businesses, rivals can range. By means of SEO tools, market research findings, and even firsthand campaign monitoring, one may create a whole picture of the competitive environment.

A comprehensive identification procedure takes into account elements such demographic segments they actively target, brand awareness, and market share. It also evaluates their traffic volume and quality, thereby offering information on their reach and player acquisition capacity. Understanding the market forces at work by means of both direct and indirect competitors helps platforms to precisely and foresightly modify their strategy.

Examining Game Portfolio and Features

Examining competitor game portfolios and their special qualities is an essential component of competitor analysis. This covers not only the quantity but also the quality and variety of their slot games—including their exclusive games, popular themes, and jackpot options. Knowing which game developers they work with and the creative components they include—such as gamification tools, interactive narratives, or special bonus rounds—allows one to get important understanding of player preferences and developing trends.

Moreover, examining the return-to—player (RTP) rates of their well-known games helps one understand their attitude to player fairness and retention. Seeing how often they change their game libraries and add new games helps one understand their dedication to preserving a novel and interesting experience. By means of this detailed study of gaming offers, a platform can find holes in its own portfolio and create plans to properly differentiate its content.

Measuring Platform Technology and User Experience

Player happiness and loyalty of competitive platforms are highly influenced by their underlying technologies and user experience (UX). This include evaluating their general site performance, mobile responsiveness, simplicity of navigation, and page design. Retaining players in the fast-paced digital environment of today depends critically on fast loading times, easy interfaces, and flawless game transitions. Examining their registration and payment systems will also help to identify effective ways to lower friction and improve conversion rates.

Examining their security policies, gaming platform stability, and customer service quality also helps one better understand their dedication to player safety and satisfaction. Knowing how they use cutting-edge technologies—such as blockchain for openness or artificial intelligence for personalization—can point up areas for next development and funding. Two great differentiators in a congested market are strong UX and solid technological basis.

In essence, developing a competitive edge in the online slot market—especially for Direct web slots particularly calls for constant and comprehensive study of competition tactics. Platforms can find chances for uniqueness and innovation by closely analyzing their gaming offers, marketing strategies, technological support. By means of this proactive, data-driven approach to competitive intelligence, operators are empowered to improve their own strategies, increase player experiences, and finally attain continuous development and leadership in this dynamic sector.

Hoffenheim Striker Trains In Super Eagles Kits Despite Confusion On His Eligibility To Play For Nigeria

0

Hoffenheim forward Gift Orban is keeping alive his dream of playing for the senior national team of Nigeria despite a claim by Togo that he isn’t eligible to play for Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Orban claimed he was born in Nigeria to a Nigerian father but raised in Togo by his mother who is a Togolese, making him eligible to represent the Super Eagles, and he got a call up once for the dead rubber AFCON qualifiers game against Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo.

Before the game a report came out in the Togolese media that he isn’t eligible for Nigeria, after representing them in a qualifier for the CHAN championship under a different name and age totally different from the one he is using presently.

The allegations made former coach Jose Peseiro to keep him away from the team during his spell as coach , and now with Eric Chelle at the helm he has once again demonstrated his love for the Super Eagles.

He posted a video of himself in a Super Eagles kit keeping fit on holiday after a successful completion of his first six months in Germany with Hoffenheim, following his move in the January transfer window from Ligue 1 side Lyon.

Super Eagles: Chelle To Scout Two Players At Club World Cup

0

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle will watch the games of the club world cup with an eye on two players in a view of giving them a chance to fight for a shirt in his team, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The coach who is still looking at players in a lot of positions has so far handled the Nigerian team in five games where he won three and drew two. The last of which was the 1-1 draw against Russia in an international friendly game last week.

His main focus has switched to the upcoming world cup qualifiers games in September against Rwanda and South Africa respectively, and he has set his sights on running the rule on two players who will take part in the club world cup.

He is keen to see if Zaidu Sanusi of FC Porto who is slowly getting back to his best after over a year out injured will perform at the tournament, as he wasn’t quite impressed with Bruno Onyemaechi in the game against Russia.

Zaidu who has been the first choice left back of the team since 2020 played only three games last season, and hasn’t been involved with the Super Eagles since the last AFCON.

Onuche Ogbelu of Esperance has been suggested to the coach by more than three people. His chance of getting a look in will get a huge boost if he impresses the coach at the club world cup.
