Last Season Was My Worst Ever – Super Eagles Star Opens Up After Starring In Unity Cup Win

0

Nigeria international winger Samuel Chukwueze says last season at AC Milan will pass as his worst ever since he became a professional football, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chukwueze played a total of 36 games in all competitions and got five goals and two assists in what was a very poor season for Milan, who missed out on Europe entirely.

They also lost the Coppa Italia final to Bologna, and had to switch coaches during the course of the campaign, with Sergio Conceicao replacing Paolo Fonseca. Although Conceicao won the SuperCoppa Italia it still wasn’t enough to rescue what was a poor season for the Italian giants.

A star for Nigeria at the recently concluded Unity Cup, where he scored Nigeria’s second goal in the final 5-4 penalty win over Jamaica, after a 2-2 draw in regulation time, Chukwueze gave a honest assertion of his performance last season.

“Last season is something we don’t really want to talk about. It was a bad season for the Milan fans and for everyone involved. Honestly, it’s one of the worst seasons of my professional career. I’m not going to lie – we didn’t win anything, I didn’t play much, even though I had the stats”, he told ModZero Sports.

“We crashed out of the Champions League, lost in the cup, fell short in the league – everything just went wrong. It was a tough season, with injuries, changing the coach, bringing in a new one. It was all upside down.

“The Milan fans are some of the best in the world. They truly deserve better. They travel with us in the rain, and even when it’s freezing, you see them taking off their shirts, chanting and showing unwavering support.

“Unfortunately, we let them down this season. I hope next season will be much better in Milan — winning the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia, and securing Champions League qualification to make up for everything.”

Dessers Frustrated With Lack Of Competitive Action For Super Eagles – I Have Only Played Friendly Games

0

Fresh from helping Nigeria win the Unity Cup friendly tournament in England, Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers has opened up at his disappointment of not playing a single competitive game for Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The 30 year old led the attack for Nigeria at the Unity Cup and scored in the 2-1 win over Ghana , before supplying an assist in the 2-2 draw against Jamaica in the final. Nigeria ended up winning the game 5-4 on penalties.

Since making his debut with the Super Eagles five years ago, he is yet to play in a competitive game for the team and he says it hurts when he thinks about it. “It hurts sometimes. It feels disappointing,” the forward said in an interview with ModZero Sports.

“I’ve been in and around the squad for five years now, and I haven’t played an official game yet – just friendlies. I am going to say that hurts.”

The forward who has three international goals for Nigeria from eight games outlined possible reasons why he thinks he hasn’t been afforded the honour of playing a competitive game for Nigeria.

“There are always a lot of different factors,” he said. “You have a few strikers, for example Victor Osimhen who is the clear number one, and it always depends on form, on choices, on personal opinion”, he concluded.

If you are new to live dealer casinos, the process can seem a bit intimidating — but it is actually straightforward and enjoyable. Follow these 7 essential steps on how to play live dealer casino online with confidence and play live dealer games for real money from anywhere:

  • Begin your journey by selecting a trusted online casino that offers a robust live dealer section. Look for platforms with high ratings, valid licenses, and partnerships with top-tier software providers like Evolution Gaming or Pragmatic Play Live. Reading reviews and checking bonus offers can help you identify the best option for your gaming style.
  • To access the live dealer games, you will need to register for a new player account. This typically involves submitting your email, creating a password, and confirming some personal details to ensure security. Make sure to verify your account via email or SMS if prompted, as this activates your ability to deposit and play.
  • Once your account is set up, head to the banking section to fund it with real money. Most live casinos accept a wide range of secure payment options including credit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, and even cryptocurrencies. Before depositing, check for any live casino-specific welcome bonuses you can claim to boost your starting balance.
  • After funding your account, go to the “Live Casino” or “Live Dealer” tab, usually displayed prominently in the site main menu. This section will showcase all available live games, including blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and unique game shows. Most lobbies let you sort tables by stakes, language, and game type for a tailored experience.
  • Pick a game that suits your interests and budget, whether you prefer the strategic nature of blackjack or the fast-paced excitement of roulette. Tables are labeled with important information such as dealer names, current players, and betting limits. Take a moment to review these details before joining to ensure you are comfortable with the game environment.
  • Before placing your first bet, get familiar with the interface and basic game rules. Live dealer platforms often include helpful visuals, betting timers, and optional rule guides for new players. You can also watch a few hands or spins without participating to better understand the flow of the game.
  • Once you are ready, place your bets, interact with the dealer through the chat box, and enjoy the realism of a live casino from your own screen. The dealer will announce the action in real time, and your winnings will be automatically credited to your balance. You can switch tables or cash out your winnings anytime you like, keeping full control of your gaming session.

5 Mistakes You Must Avoid

Many players play live dealer games without fully preparing, which can lead to unnecessary losses or frustration. Whether you are just starting out or looking to sharpen your strategy, avoiding these common mistakes can significantly improve your chances of success and overall enjoyment. The table below outlines the most frequent missteps and offers practical solutions to help you stay in control and maximize your gaming experience:

MistakeWhy it is a problemHow to avoid it
Ignoring table limitsJumping into a table without checking the betting range may lead to stakes that are too high or too low for your strategy.Always review the table minimum and maximum limits. Choose tables that align with your bankroll and comfort level.
Playing without understanding the rulesNot knowing the specific rules of a game (e.g., side bets or dealer actions) can lead to costly mistakes and confusion.Read the game rules beforehand or watch a few rounds as a spectator to understand how it flows and what the options are.
Chasing lossesLetting emotions dictate your play after a loss often leads to reckless decisions and further financial damage.Set a fixed budget and walk away when it has gone. Stick to pre-determined bet sizes and never try to “win it all back.”
Not using bonuses wiselyAccepting bonuses without understanding the fine print can result in being locked into high wagering requirements or limits.Look for bonuses that are valid for live games, have low wagering requirements, and avoid deals that seem too good to be true.
Playing on unlicensed or unverified platformsUsing unregulated casinos puts your personal data and winnings at serious risk, with little to no recourse.Only play on licensed platforms certified by recognized authorities, with verified software providers and positive reviews.

Conclusion

Live dealer online casinos offer an exciting bridge between the digital and physical worlds, providing players with real-time action, social interaction, and the thrill of betting with real money — all from the comfort of home. By choosing a reputable platform, understanding the games, following a simple gameplay roadmap, and avoiding the most common mistakes, you can significantly elevate your online gambling experience. Whether you are in Australia or beyond, the opportunities for immersive, responsible, and rewarding live gaming have never been better.

Okoye Will Start In Goal For Super Eagles Against Russia, Uche Chrisantus Prime For Full Debut

0

After playing no part in the recently concluded Unity Cup tournament in England Udinese shot stopper Maduka Okoye will be in goal for the senior national team of Nigeria against Russia on Friday, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Okoye was benched in the games against Ghana and Jamaica respectively for regular first choice Stanley Nwabali, but it was something he was aware of after conversion with head coach Eric Chelle.

Chelle explained to Okoye why he prefers Nwabali the be in goal for both games at the Unity Cup, assuring Okoye that he will play from the start against Russia at the Luzhniki stadium.

Another player who is set for a start is Gefate midfielder Chrisantus Uche who played the final 20 minutes of the win over Jamaica, and scored the decisive spot kick during shoot outs.

He arrived late to the camp of the team, hence the decision not to start him against Jamaica but after holding talks with Chelle and also tendering his apology for the drama that led to his late arrival, the coach has decided to hand him a start.

Real Reason Why Nwabali Was Dropped From Super Eagles Squad For Russia Friendly Game

0

The reason why the first choice goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria Stanley Nwabali won’t be in goal for the team against Russia in an international friendly game against Russia on Friday has been made known, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Nwabali wasn’t listed in the squad the game against Russia with the duo of Maduka Okoye and Amas Obasogie getting the nod from head coach Eric Chelle. Nwabali was however in goal in all of the games of the Unity Cup which Nigeria won 5-4 via spot kicks against Jamaica after a 2-2 draw in normal time.

His decision to skip the game has led to so many questions, but a member of the team explained that the Chippa United man was first and foremost excused from the team, because of the burial of his both parents.

He said Nwabali communicated with Chelle before settling for the dates , which ironically is a day just after the game against Russia. Moreso the game will be nothing but a ceremonial game with FIFA not recognizing any games involving Russia due to their current ban from competitive football, due to the invasion of Ukraine by the country’s government.

In his absence Maduka Okoye is expected to start in goal after sitting out both games in the Unity Cup against Ghana and Jamaica respectively. Obasogie who will join the team in Russia after missing the Unity Cup through visa issues will be his deputy for the game.

Goalkeeper of the senior national team of Russia Stanislav Agkatsev has warned his teammates on want to expect from the Super Eagles of Nigeria when both teams clash in an international friendly game on Friday, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The game which will take place at the Luzhiniki stadium will be the first ever friendly game between both countries, with Russia coming into the game still suspended from competitive football by FIFA over their government’s invasion of Ukraine.

They have been involved in series of friendly games since the ban, and Agkatsev who has been in goal for most of the games say the Nigerian team, who are coming on the back of winning the Unity Cup friendly tournament will be their toughest opponent since their game against Serbia.

He made this known in an interview with Russian media outlet Sport-Express while speaking on his expectations from the game against Nigeria.

Have you seen Nigeria’s composition?

— I saw that their three main stars would not come. But in terms of composition, Nigeria can be compared to Serbia. From the last matches, they are the most serious opponent.

— How to prepare for such attackers?

– It’s interesting to show your strength against such football players. I want to play with such opponents more often.

Social simulations: why we choose virtual relationships over real ones

0

Sometimes it feels like virtual relationships are more convenient and easier to understand than those in real life. In games, everything is simplified: no awkward pauses, unnecessary uncertainty, or fear of being misunderstood. Instead of long conversations — joint actions. Instead of expectations — instant feedback. And maybe that’s exactly why many people choose this format not just as a temporary substitute, but as a full-fledged way to build a connection with another person.

A shared goal instead of social games

In many games, interaction between people is built not on conversations but on cooperation. We don’t ask each other how the day went — we just go on a raid, defend a base, or coordinate actions in a control point match. A shared objective replaces words: you don’t need to voice your mood or come up with a topic just to be near someone. All you need is to play, support, and act in sync. When you take down the throne with someone in Dota 2 — it’s not just a win, it’s a moment of teamwork, support, and trust that’s hard to explain but easy to feel. Especially when the game is intense, every move matters, and you’re literally holding victory at your fingertips.

This kind of interaction feels more natural to me — it’s simple, transparent, and free of social tension. There’s no need to pretend, no need to find the right words, no need to act interested in a topic you don’t really want to talk about. You just enter the game and work together. It gives you that sense of “we’re in this together,” without asking you to be anyone else. And if I want to stay in that space even after the match ends — I watch how others play. In that context, I often follow matches, and dota 2 live score becomes more than just a results service — it’s another way for me to stay inside that atmosphere, stay in the flow, and feel connected to the community I share this gaming reality with.

A new form of closeness

On the surface, it might seem like virtual relationships are an escape from reality. But to me, they feel more like a rethinking of it — an adaptation to the way modern life works. You don’t have to be in the same city, or even on the same continent, to feel close to someone. You could be living in Kyiv, your friend in Warsaw, and someone else in Tokyo — and yet every evening, you all hop into Discord, turn on voice chat, and just… spend time together. A few rounds in a shooter, some conversations between matches, discussing the latest news — it becomes your shared habit, your way of communicating, your version of intimacy.

These relationships require time and attention like any other. But instead of coffee dates — you’re doing quests and battles together. Instead of city walks — you’re exploring RPG locations. Instead of movies — you’re discussing patch notes and builds. It doesn’t replace traditional forms of connection — it’s a different, more flexible system that fits naturally into everyday life. And it works. Because it still has emotions, support, shared experiences.

And when a big event is coming up — like a major dota tournament — it feels almost like a holiday: you plan who’s free to watch the stream, talk about rosters, cheer for your favorite teams. And all of it is just as real as going to the movies together. You might be sitting in different rooms, but the feeling is like you’re side by side.

A pressure-free space

In everyday life, we’re often weighed down by expectations. People expect us to be proactive, engaged, say the right things, react the right way, show the right emotions. There’s a script for how to behave, what to say, when to meet up, what’s considered “normal” social interaction — and all of it adds a layer of tension.

Even silence can feel awkward, like something that needs to be quickly filled. The virtual space, in contrast, gives you much more breathing room. The lines are blurred here, and that feels freeing.

You can be more honest, more at ease, without adjusting to someone else’s expectations. If you want to talk — you do. If not — you just sit in voice chat, play, stay quiet, or listen. There’s far less risk of being judged for a pause in the conversation or an awkward reply. No one is looking into your eyes expecting a certain facial expression or response. No one pushes you to speak immediately or to invent a topic just to keep things going. It’s a format where you exist not because something is expected of you, but simply because it’s comfortable to be near someone.

I like that kind of freedom. It makes communication easier — not in a shallow way, but in the sense of being more accessible, open, and natural. You can just launch the game, see a familiar nickname in the list, and hop into the party without saying a word. Talking isn’t required. Sometimes just being online is enough. Sometimes that quiet “I’m here” — even if it’s not spoken aloud but just shown by your presence — is more than enough.

Connection through actions

Maybe that’s the core reason why virtual relationships feel so valuable to me: it’s not about words — it’s about actions. Not compliments, not formalities, not trying to guess someone’s mood — but real, tangible actions, even if they happen inside a game. When you clear a dungeon together, coordinate in a teamfight, or just cover each other in a shooter, you create a sense of true involvement. And that involvement isn’t limited to the game — it spills into how you show up in each other’s lives.

That’s something that’s often missing offline. Where reality brings pauses, uncertainty, and things left unsaid, games give you a clear rhythm: you’re here with me — I see it, I feel it. Inside a match, everything is simple. If you invite someone to your team, share resources, call out when to fall back or push — you’ve already shown you care. No speeches, no complicated explanations. And it works. It gives you the sense that you matter to someone, and that someone matters to you.

In games, you can express that not by asking “how are you?”, but by saying “join my party,” “here’s a heal,” “let’s run one more level.” Sometimes that’s all it takes to feel a connection. Even if it’s in a digital space — the connection is real, because it’s built on presence. Not promises, not personas, but a simple “I’m here.”

Conclusion

Virtual relationships aren’t the opposite of real life — they’re a parallel version of it. They’re built on actions, shared goals, and mutual presence, even if that presence is just silence in a voice chat. There’s less pressure and more freedom, fewer formalities and more sincerity — even if that sincerity comes through actions rather than words. And maybe that’s exactly why they feel so vivid and real to me.

Because in those moments when all you need is simply to be there, the virtual world gives you everything you need to make that happen.
