One Gaffe, Too Many- Abia State Government Under Pressure To Remove Kanu As Chairman Of Enyimba

0

The government of governor Alex Otti of Abia State has come under pressure from concerned quarters over the way Kanu Nwankwo is handling the affairs of Enyimba international of Aba, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Enyimba were yesterday in Uyo beaten 0-1 by Wydad AC of Morocco in the first leg of the newly introduced Africa Super League, leaving them with a lot to do ahead of the return leg in Morocco.

The scoreline wasn’t the main talking point of the game with the Moroccan side considered as a stronger than the Nigerians based on recent results on the African continent. Enyimba’s poor handling of affairs around the game has been the major concerns.

The shirt number and name of one of the players of the club was written with marker on the back of his jersey. An embarrassment that was seen around the world as the game was live on TV and also dragged the image of the club down the drain.

Kanu since his appointment hasn’t been on ground with most of the affairs of the club left in the hands of his sporting director Ifeanyi Ekwueme, another who is also new in the business of running a time as prestigious and big as Enyimba.

A former Nigeria international like Kanu, he was culpable for the confusion that saw the team’s goalkeeper trainer on the bench instead of the two coaches of the team in Finidi George and Olarewaju Yema.

They were both not allowed on the bench of the team because they don’t have a CAF A coaching license rather they carry a UEFA coaching license, which isn’t approved by CAF for continental games.

It was part of why Libyan side Al-Ahly Benghazi triumphed over them. It’s the first time that Enyimba will be crashing out of the first round of the qualifying rounds of the tournament. Their domestic form hasn’t been the best as well.

Appointed by the new governor Otti as replacement for long serving chairman Felix Anyasi, the expected transformation the former Arsenal star was expected to bring hasn’t been the case so far.

It Would Have Been A Huge Mistake To Sign Him- Coach Of Watford Rips Up Super Eagles Striker

0

Coach of English Championship side Watford Valérien Ismaël has lifted the lid on how he stopped the club from bringing back out of favour Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis in the summer, OwnGoalNigeria.comreports.

Dennis left Watford last summer for Nottingham Forest after an astonishing season where he scored 11 goals, but failed to match the same height at Forest last season with only two goals.

He lost his spot in the team and at some point didn’t even make the matchday squad. Before the start of this season he was deemed surplus to requirements at Forest, paving the way for him to join Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir on a season long loan deal.

A return to Watford was on the card but according to Ismaël, he stopped it from happening because he doesn’t believe the Nigerian has what it takes to be a hit at the club , he said if he was signed it would have been a huge mistake considering his poor goal return bar that season with Watford in the English Premier League.

“His name came on my desk, but I said no. Simple as that,” Watford boss Ismael Valerie told Watford Observer.

“I honestly don’t think this was a mistake for Watford. He’s not been that prolific in his career.

“Yes, he had that one season where he scored 10 goals and earned that move to Nottingham Forest, but that has been his best tally in his whole career to date.

“You would have to bring him back on a big salary, and unless he guaranteed 20 goals it would be a huge mistake.”

The Supersport defender, who has played seven out of eight league games for the Premier Soccer League (PSL) side this season, is however not ruling out a switch to Nigeria, if the opportunity presents itself.

“I just don’t want any pressure, but I just keep my mind open to both and whatever comes first then we’ll see what happens because it’s quite a tough decision for me. South Africa is a country I was born and bred in, but Nigeria is my home where my dad is from”, he was quoted as telling
South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) by Soccer Laduma.

“It’s very tough to make, but I feel like whenever the opportunity comes I’ll take it with both hands.

“I’d say for now it’s better with South Africa because with Hugo Broos he sees us around. With Nigeria, it’ll be quite tough, but I just do my best to also get a call up there.”

How to Know if The Online Casino of Your Choice is Legitimate

0

The preference of online sports betting and casinos has surged in recent years, with remote gaming now the prevailing trend. Despite this, the online gambling industry continues to expand and displays sustained growth with no signs of decline. If anything, it thrives and steadily extends its reach into new markets.

As anything prospering on the internet, online casinos have attracted numerous conmen and women seeking to entice gamblers and defraud them of their hard-earned money.

1. Notable Licenses

When embarking on the quest for a secure online casino platform like Major site (메이저사이트), it is imperative to ascertain that the operator possesses a valid license and operates in strict accordance with the regulations prescribed by esteemed gambling commissions. This not only assures compliance with the law but also affords players comprehensive protection against fraud and other unfair practices.

A reputable online casino, holding a license from an authoritative body, will prominently display the licensing authority’s insignia on its landing page, accompanied by the corresponding license number. Typically, these logos and license numbers are hyperlinked to the official website of the licensing authority, simplifying the process of verification.

2. Legitimate Payment Methods

Before selecting a game inspect the supported deposit and withdrawal systems. Online casino operators utilizing globally recognized brands like PayPal, Mastercard, and Visa are usually legitimate. These prominent companies have a substantial financial and reputational stake, compelling them to maintain rigorous measures against fraudulent activities.

However, it is essential to ensure that the payment gateways are correctly routed through these established companies. Some scammers may attempt to use logos and names of leading brands to feign legitimacy, but the clearest indication is encountered when making your initial deposit. If, for example, selecting the PayPal option redirects you to an unfamiliar payment gateway, the site is likely illegitimate.

3. Reputable Software Providers

A legitimate casino operator will offer games from reputable software providers in the market, such as NetEnt, Microgaming, Playtech, Evolution, and other esteemed providers. These providers typically have their branding alongside the game’s title in the casino’s menu.

Leading software providers like NetEnt and Evolution Gaming develop high-quality titles and immersive experiences. They are known for their integrity and data security, making them reliable choices for players.

4. Positive Reviews

When choosing an online casino, seek an operator with favorable reviews. Legitimate online casinos have players sharing their online experiences, including any encountered issues while betting on the available games. These reviews are accessible on various websites, but it’s crucial to assess the authenticity of the site when reading user feedback.

5. Reasonable Welcome Bonuses

Every reputable online casino offers enticing bonuses to new players. However, be cautious of bonuses that appear too good to be true. Examine the terms and conditions, particularly the wagering requirements and other critical considerations.

Chelsea – Arsenal

Bet on this game with a ₦100,000 bonus!

Arsenal maintain an unbeaten record in the current Premier League season, and they should carry a strong sense of confidence into their upcoming visit to London rivals Chelsea, particularly following their recent 1-0 victory over the defending champions, Man City. Mikel Arteta’s team has dropped points in only 2 of 8 outings – 2-2 draws at home to Fulham and Spurs. Furthermore, their away form has been impressive, with clean-sheet victories over Crystal Palace, Everton, and Bournemouth. The Gunners have scored in their last 14 matches across all competitions, and it’s unlikely that the Blues will be the team to halt the attacking prowess of the visitors.

Despite a challenging season start, Chelsea has gained some momentum by winning their last three matches in all competitions against Brighton, Fulham, and Burnley, scoring a total of 7 goals. Without a doubt, the Pochettino-led team will seek to harness this confidence in the upcoming game. Considering that both teams have scored in seven of the last ten competitive meetings between these sides, we anticipate a high-scoring match.

Possible picks:

☑️ Arsenal To Win – 2.34
☑️ Both Teams To Score – 1.71
☑️ Total Over 2.5 – 1.90

Sevilla – Real Madrid

Bet on this game with a ₦100,000 bonus!

Real Madrid will aim to secure their 5th consecutive win across all competitions as they return to La Liga action against Sevilla on Saturday evening. Carlo Ancelotti’s side triumphed with a 4-0 victory over Osasuna before the international break, currently holding the top position in the league with 24 points from their first nine matches. Jude Bellingham, with 8 goals in 8 games, currently leads the La Liga goal-scoring race, and there’s a high likelihood that he may find the back of the net once more.

The start of the season hasn’t been particularly favourable for Sevilla as they’ve only accumulated 8 points from the first 8 rounds. In their last 6 matches, En Nesyri and his teammates have secured only 1 victory and have conceded 2 or more goals in 6 of their last 10 home matches. It’s unlikely that the hosts can expect an easy game at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

Possible picks:

☑️ Real Madrid To Win – 1.81
☑️ Real Madrid Over 2 – 2.47
☑️ Jude Bellingham To Score At Any Time – 2.63

Wolfsburg – Bayer Leverkusen

Bet on this game with a ₦100,000 bonus!

Victor Boniface and Jonas Wind will be face to face in a match between a pair of the top scorers when the Bundesliga leader, Bayer 04, visits VfL Wolfsburg on October 21. Both forwards have 7 goals to their names, trailing in the goal-scoring race only Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart (13) and Harry Kane from Bayern Munich (8). Alongside Bayern, Leverkusen boasts the best attack in the league, having netted a formidable 23 goals in the first 7 rounds. Furthermore, Xabi Alonso’s side has won their previous 5 games in all competitions, so it won’t be an easy task for the hosts to stop them.

However, Bayer 04 should not expect an easy walk either. Wind and his teammates have won all three home matches in the league against Eintracht Frankfurt, Union Berlin, and Heidenheim, scoring two goals against each opponent. We anticipate plenty of chances and goals from both sides.

Possible picks:

☑️ Both Teams To Score – 1.52
☑️ Total Over 3 – 1.86
☑️ Victor Boniface To Score At Any Time – 4.33

Barcelona – Athletic B

Bet on this game with a ₦100,000 bonus!

In the last game before the international break, the Catalans narrowly escaped defeat against Granada (2-2), trailing by two goals as early as the 30th minute of the match. The game against Athletic represents a good chance for Xavi’s team to return to their winning ways, as they have secured 4 wins in 4 home matches with a positive goal difference of +9. However, Barcelona’s potential challenge lies in their squad situation, as key players such as Lewandowski, Pedri, de Jong, Koundé, and several others will be unavailable due to injuries.

Before the break, Athletic was in excellent form, winning 5 out of their last 8 matches and drawing 2. This allowed the Basque team to secure the 5th spot in the La Liga standings, trailing Barcelona by just 4 points. Notably, in all the victorious matches during this successful streak, Williams and his teammates scored a minimum of 2 goals, so the visitors will do everything possible to capitalize on this game aspect. We expect at least one goal from Ernesto Valverde’s team.

Possible picks:

☑️ Both Teams To Score – 1.73
☑️ Athletic B Over 1 – 2.26
☑️ Total Over 2.5 – 1.74

Milan – Juventus

Bet on this game with a ₦100,000 bonus!

Milan approach the upcoming match as the leader of Serie A, with a 2-point lead over their counterparts from Inter and a 4-point advantage over Juventus. Stefano Pioli’s men have suffered only one defeat in their last 12 games, though that particular loss, a 1-5 defeat to their arch-rivals Internazionale, was particularly painful. Two weeks ago, the Rossoneri secured a 1-0 victory against Genoa on the road, with Olivier Giroud stepping in as a makeshift goalkeeper in the closing stages after Maignan’s dismissal. Juventus shouldn’t wait for an easy encounter, especially taking into account that Chukwueze and Co won all three previous home matches with a total score of 7-1.

Bianconeri had a successful outing against their local rivals, Torino, (2-0) just before the break. However, achieving a win against Milan in an away game is a much more challenging task. Moreover, Allegri faces significant squad issues with Paul Pogba still serving a suspension, and several key players, including Danilo, Federico Chiesa, Dusan Vlahovic, Alex Sandro, and Mattia De Sciglio, remain sidelined due to injuries.

Possible picks:

☑️ Milan To Win – 2.21
☑️ Milan Over 1.5 – 2.30
☑️ Juventus Under 1 – 1.71
