Eintracht Frankfurt Picks Super Eagles Striker As Priority Signing In January

0

German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have finally settled for a replacement for Randal Kolo Muani who left the club on the deadline day of the summer transfer to join PSG.

Kolo-Muani left for a fee of close to a €100m but the timing of his departure made it hard for the club to sign a replacement for him. Something they now want to address when the January transfer window opens at the end of the year.

The idea is to get an agreement in place before the opening of the window and according to German publication ‘Sport Bild”, their top pick is newly invited Super Eagles striker Gift Orban.

Bild says the club will make a formal bid to Gent in October for the forward who caused a huge splash last season scoring 20 goals in 22 games following his move in January from second division Norwegian side Stabæk.

We gathered they will use space between now and October to access the performance of two new signings in Jessic Ngankam and Omar Marmoush, but it appears head coach Dino Toppmöller has already decided that a new striker in January is a must.

“We’ve already talked about the fact that it was unfortunate. I already assumed that we would have more personnel at the front. But now that’s just the way it is, and we’re taking on the challenge ,” says Toppmöller in an interview with ‘Bild’.

Peseiro Forced Into Making Two Changes To Super Squad For Friendly Game Against Saudi Arabia, Mozambique

0

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro has made two changes to the sqaud of the team ahead of their upcoming friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique respectively.

OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal that the coach who has already sent out provisional invitation to 35 players, but will reduce the number to 24 before the game has been forced into making two changes.

Peseiro won’t be able to call on FC Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi even though both games will be player in Portugal, with the 26 year old currently not expected back from injury until a week to the game against Saudi Arabia.

A situation which effectively rules him out of the game and his spot will likely go to one of the players not expected to make the final sqaud for the games. It is the same situation with Calvin Bassey of English Premier League side Fulham.

Bassey went off injured yesterday with a back issue during the course of their 3-1 win over Norwich City in the Carabao Cup. He is expected to be out for the next two weeks meaning he is also out of the games for the senior national team of Nigeria.

Revealed – The Real Reason Why Napoli Mock Osimhen After Penalty Miss Against Bologna

0

An insight into what led to the breakdown in relationship between Victor Osimhen and Napoli that escalated yesterday, when a video mocking the striker over his missed penalty against Bologna was posted on the club social media handle has been unraveled.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 24 year old who was in the news after a verbal confrontation with coach Rudi Garcia when he was substituted in the game against Bologna has already made it known that he will be seeking legal advice on the next step to take regarding the video, as said by his agent Roberto Calenda.

Osimhen was the one who saw the video and told the social media handler to take the video down before it goes viral, but his request was rebuffed until yesterday when the issue escalated further.

The Italian publication are also reporting that the video is just a bit of the unease between the striker and the club, which has been on since the summer when he was approached to renew his deal which has two years left to run.

Fresh from winning the league title, Osimhen verbally agreed to extend his deal at the club in a meeting with president Aurelio de Laurentiis. Talks were held in that regards but ten days later Osimhen’s agent backtracked on the agreement asking for more money.

His u-turn came after an extraordinary offer from Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal. At that point Napoli were prepared to let him leave but time to get a replacement and also sanction his sale at their valuation ran out.

Aside that there is also tension between the Nigerian and Garcia, who is finding it increasingly hard to manage the Nigerian since taking over from Luciano Spalletti shortly after the title win, which was largely powered by Osimhen.

From all available reports, a move away in the January transfer window is imminent although all that could change if the club offers a public apology instead of their current stand that their handle on TikTok usually trolls their players, and his case wasn’t done with any malicious intent.

0

The official TikTok handle of Italian Serie A champions Napoli have come under serious attack over a video mocking Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen for missing a penalty in their 0-0 draw against Bologna last weekend, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The Nigerian was subbed off in the 86th minute for Giovanni Simeone, fourteen minutes after he missed the chance of putting his team in the lead, when he missed from the spot. It was also a chance for the 25 year old to add to his tally of three goals in the opening five games of their title defence.

He was later involved in a heated exchange with the coach of Napoli Rudi Garcia on the touchline on the decision to take him off. He has since sent his apologies to the coach and the team over his actions.

Earlier today , the official TikTok handle of the team which posted a video three days ago, referring to Osimhen as a coconut head posted another video and this time around it was about trolling him for the penalty miss against Bologna.

The reaction to the video led to the disabling of the comment section of the post before it was finally deleted. Even at that they are still under attack on popular social media platform X.

Bayern Munich Keen On Agreeing A Deal For The Free Signing Of Super Eagles Midfield Ace

0

German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are still in the market for a defensive midfielder to add to the sqaud of coach Thomas Tuchel despite an impressive start to the season, OwnGoalNigeria.comunderstands.

A deal for Fulham star man João Palhinha was agreed but a dramatic twist of event saw the Portuguese return to the English side, where he has already signed a new deal until at least 2028 and the deal has no buy out clause.

It means any deal for the 28 year old will see both teams return to the negotiation table and Bayern are wary of what the Fulham might demand, especially the way they conducted themselves in the summer.

That has made a move for Leicester City Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi more pressing but with his deal set to run out next summer, Bayern are willing to wait in order to get him for free after their failed attempt in the summer as confirmed by his agent.

Ndidi’s agent Franjo Vranjkovic said to the ‘kicker’ at the time: “There were very good conversations with those responsible for FC Bayern at all levels, primarily with Mr. Jan-Christian Dreesen. In the end, however, there was the decision that Wilfred would not become the Holding Six at Bayern Munich”, he rounded up saying.

It was said that both parties agreed to revisit the issue next summer, when the Nigerian will be a free player but Bayern want an agreement in January, with the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Juventus also keeping an eye on the future of the 26 year old.

Caressa: Osimhen Must Publicly Apologize To New Napoli Coach Else He Should Be Axed

Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen was very unhappy with the decision of the coach of Napoli Rudi Garcia to sub him off during the course of their 0-0 draw against Bologna in the Italian Serie A.

With the team yet to really hit the ground running under new coach Garcia, who replaced Luciano Spalletti at the end of last season the spotlight has been heavy on the angry outburst of the Nigerian following his substitution.

There are times and moments, if you do it with a coach in difficulty it’s different from doing it with a strong coach. I wouldn’t want the players’ attitude to be that of someone who says he won. Osimhen made a public attack and tomorrow he must publicly apologize to the coach, otherwise it becomes unpleasant. And otherwise someone else will do it next time .” Sky Sports Italia journalist Fabio Caressa said.

” Osimhen is not new to this type of attitude, but also tactical suggestions at the time of his substitution means that their is absolutely no respect for the roles and this is a worrying thing”, Sky journalist Massimo Ugolini said.

” Osimhen also sent Spalletti to hell but never discussed the tactical aspects. There has already been a face to face meeting between the player and the coach . Now we expect more from everyone”, he concluded.
