NFF Sets Up “Robust” Committee To Scout Nigerian Players Born Abroad

0

The president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ibrahim Musa Gusau says the football house has plans in place to ensure that the country don’t miss out on top talents eligible to play for Nigeria but born abroad, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria have been proactive in luring players born abroad with as many as eight present players in the team holding dual nationality. Gusau said the policy isn’t about to change anytime soon.

Made famous by former NFF president Amaju Pinnick, the trend will be sustained under Gusau but he said the approach will be a lot better to ensure that only the best players get picked and not just because they are eligible to play for the country.

” A Nigerian is a Nigerian regardless of where they are born and they have equal rights to the national teams like any other Nigerian. We will set up a committee that will be saddled with the scouting of these players. A robust scouting department so that when they are called up you won’t hear stories like they are not good enough”, he said in a radio show monitored by our editorial team.

He said plans are already advanced in that direction and it will be in tandem with the players who will progress from the various youth teams of Nigeria. The approach according to him is the first step towards ensuring that Nigeria returns to the top of football in Africa.

” The idea is to build with the youth teams and players born abroad to get a perfect team for the Super Eagles. That I think should be the foremost step in repositioning our football to claim our top spot in Africa and the world at large”, he rounded up saying.

England Youth International Reveals Chat With Southgate That Made Him Pick England Ahead Of Super Eagles

0

The international future of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke appears to no longer be in doubt following talks with the head coach of the senior national team of England, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Eligible for Nigeria and England, he has represented England at various youth levels and he is presently with the U21 team of England at the U21 European Championship. Despite that he has always insist on leaving his options open at senior level.

In 2021 after an explosive performance for his former team PSV in the Dutch League, he was asked about his international future and he said it’s all in the air with Nigeria an option for him. Even last year he was rumoured to have been contacted by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He appears to have killed that thought after a chat with the coach of the senior national team of England Gareth Southgate, who assured him that once he gets regular run of games at Chelsea, he will be considered for a call up.

“And if I play week in, week out next season, I will be in contention for a senior team call-up. I’ve spoken to Gareth [Southgate] and the door is open”, he said.

“Being a Chelsea legend, playing for England and scoring goals comes with it, but I just want to be seen as a player that inspired. I want people to look back on my career and think, ‘Wow, Noni was unbelievable’. I want them to be in awe.”

Super Eagles Prospect Joins German Bundesliga Side Wolfsburg On Permanent Deal

0

One of the startling revelations of last year was on loan Lorient defender Moritz Jenz revealing that he has Nigerian roots, a revelation that took a lot of people unaware considering the fact that he has always been refered to as a German.

”I qualify for Germany and Nigeria but I would prefer Germany because that’s where I grew up,” Jenz said as reported by GlasgowTimes.

In January he moved to German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 on another loan deal to further his development but it came with an obligation that he will be signed by the German team if they beat the drop to the second division. They were however relegated.

He came in and played in 11 of their games playing as a center back and not as a right back, the position he played for Fulham, Lausanne Sport, Lorient and Cletic in the past. The 24 year old did enough to convince another German team Wolfsburg that he deserves a permanent deal.

Six days ago, his signing was made official for €10m on a four year deal, and a strong performance next season will no doubt trigger another round of questions and suggestions around his international future, especially as he hasn’t been capped by either Germany or Nigeria at any level.

Super Eagles Target Tops Tottenham’s Wishlist Of Summer Signings To Plug Defensive Crisis

0

The appointment of Ange Postecoglou as coach of English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur has seen the club step up their efforts to beef up certain areas of the team ahead of the start of the English Premier League.

Postecoglou will resume on the 1st of July but he has been working behind the scene on players he will like to sign before the end of the summer transfer window. Defence from what has been widely reported is his first area of priority.

In that department he is targeting ex England youth international Tosin Adarabiyio who is having a stand off with Fulham over extending his deal at the club, which has a year to run starting from July.

Adarabiyio is seen as one of the players who could potentially plug the gaps in the holes of the defence, which proved to be costly last season and cost them a spot in European continental tournaments as they finished 8th.

Linked with a switch of nationality to Nigeria, he was visited by the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Austine Eguavoen last year. A move which many see as the first step of many towards representing Nigeria at senior level.

Last season the 25 year old made 25 appearances in the English Premier League with a goal to his name. He has his mind set on a move despite the fact that manager Marco Silva is keen on retaining him.

Captain Of Japan U20 Team Reveals His Nigerian Roots After Dazzling Against England U21 – My Father Is Nigerian

Ahead of their campaign for the U21 European Championship the English team played a warm up game against their counterparts from Japan, who were using the game as part of their tune up for the Asian youth tournament.

England were beaten 2-0 despite boasting of avalanche of big names like Emile Smith-Rowe of Arsenal, Harvey Elliot of Liverpool, Noni Madueke of Chelsea, Olivier Skipp of Tottenham Hotspur, Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United, Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest among others

Rihito Yamamoto and Yuta Matsumura got the goals that gave the Japanese the win but at the heart of their display was a certain Joel Chima Fujita, who made mincemeat of the English team with his mesmerizing display in midfield.

So good was his display that he was asked about how he felt like bossing players who play for top English teams. “I was excited to hear that a Tottenham midfielder (Oliver Skipp) was going to play, but then I saw that it wasn’t all that. The opponent showed skill, but the one I thought played well was at most Liverpool’s Elliott. Smith Rowe looked like he didn’t even take the field”, he said.

The 21 year old who plays for top division Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos is seen as one of the future stars of the senior national team of Japan. As he has progressed from the U17 to the U22 with the senior national team the next in his sight.

A look at his rise took us back to 2019 when the U17 team of Nigeria were beaten 1-0 by Japan in a friendly game ahead of the World Cup. Fujita was at the heart of the midfield for Japan and after the game told the Nigerian handlers that his father is a Nigerian.

He repeated the same words after the test game against England. ” I am Japanese but with a Nigerian father, maybe that is why I am blessed with physical and technical abilities”, the captain of the U22 team of Japan said.

Try your luck in the Crash game and win big money!

The bookmaker 1xBet has prepared a real gem for gamblers called Crash. In this simple but addictive game, you can multiply your bet amount in a few seconds. The game rules are as simple as possible, and the result is unpredictable. That is why it has become so popular among 1xBet players.

The player must bet before the round starts. The minimum bet is only $0.3, while the maximum is an impressive $597.7. The winnings are calculated by multiplying the bet by the odds, so with a $500 bet and x10 odds, the player will get $5,000!

The round begins with the plane takeoff and the start of the winning odds countdown. The longer the plane is in the air, the higher the odds. Each round ends with an explosion, which is random.

If the player manages to pick up the winnings before the explosion, their bet is multiplied by the odds. If the plane explodes before the player clicks the Collect Winnings button, the bet is burnt.

The Crash strategy for success is a combination of risk and luck. To get the maximum win, the player must risk large amounts. And if you want the odds to be maximum, you should click the Collect winnings button at the very end of the flight. But since the flight duration is unknown, you will need intuition and luck.

If you wish, you can play in the Auto Bet mode. It allows you to think about the game tactics in advance, enter all the necessary parameters and prepare to recount the winnings.

In this mode, you need to fill in the fields Base bet, Maximum bet amount, and Auto-withdrawal, and also select the options Return to base bet or Double the bet. The initial bet amount is entered in the Base bet field, and the maximum bet in the Double bet mode is limited in the Maximum bet amount field.

In the Auto-withdrawal field, the player must specify the odds at which the system will automatically withdraw funds. For auto-withdrawal to work, you need a slot odds of 0.01 points higher than the specified one (if you set 1.1, then auto-withdrawal will work when you enter 1.11). In other cases, the bet burns out.

Don’t miss your chance to hit the jackpot in Crash! Take risks wisely, rely on luck, and you will win on the 1xBet bookmaker website!

Online Poker Strategy: Valuable Insights and Tips That Will Help South African Players Elevate Their Game

0

Welcome to the exciting and competitive world of poker, where your talent, strategy, and ability to manipulate your opponents will take you far. If you’re a beginner who wants to become better or an experienced gamer who wants to learn something new, you may benefit significantly from the wealth of information in the form of poker tips and techniques.

Poker is not just a game of luck but an artistic endeavor requiring careful strategy, deft manipulation of your opponents’ emotions, and excellent mind-reading skills. Having a solid foundation is essential in this ever-evolving game.

In this article, we will explore useful strategies and tips like the ones from Top10PokerSites.net that can help South African players refine their skills, make better decisions, and increase their chances of success at the poker table. By developing these skills, you will become a formidable force at the table.

Study and Understand the Fundamentals

Building a solid foundation is essential for any successful poker player. Take the time to study and understand your game’s basic rules, hand rankings, and betting structures. Please familiarize yourself with different poker variants and their specific strategies. By grasping the fundamentals, you establish a strong base upon which you can develop more advanced tactics and decision-making abilities.

Practice Bankroll Management

Effective bankroll management is crucial for long-term success in poker. Set aside a dedicated bankroll for your gambling activities and determine sensible limits for your stakes. Avoid risking a significant portion of your bankroll in a single session, and be mindful of the risks associated with each game. Proper bankroll management ensures you can weather the game’s inevitable ups and downs and continue playing confidently.

Understand the Essence of Position

Understanding and utilizing the concept of position to your advantage can significantly enhance your game. Position refers to your seating rank, which determines the order in which you act during a hand.

Being in a late position, such as on the button or in the cutoff, provides a significant advantage as you have more information about your opponents’ actions before making decisions. Utilize your positional advantage to play a broader range of hands and exert more control over the pot.

Utilize Pot Odds and Expected Value

Making logical decisions in poker requires understanding pot odds and expected value (EV). The odds in a pot are the current chip count divided by the price of a potential call. Through the comparison of the pot odds to the chances of completing your hand, you may decide if a call is lucrative in the long run.

The expected value of a hand considers both the odds of winning and the possible payout. Making choices with a positive anticipated value will pay off in the long run.

Build Strong Reading Skills

Reading your opponents’ behavior and interpreting their actions is a valuable skill in poker. Look for patterns, timing tells, and any other physical or verbal cues that may reveal the strength or weakness of their hand.

Pay attention to bet sizing, bet timing, and changes in demeanor. By developing strong reading skills, you can make more informed decisions, accurately assess the strength of your opponent’s hands, and adjust your strategy accordingly.

Master the Art of Bluffing

Bluffing is an essential tool in a poker player’s arsenal. When you bluff, you make it seem like you have a better hand than you do, hoping that your opponents will give up and fold. However, bluffing well needs keen awareness of context and timing and familiarity with the playing styles of one’s opponents.

Be strategic about when and how often you bluff, keeping in mind your image, the table dynamic, and the range of hands your opponents may be holding. A successful bluff may help you win pots and throw off your opponents so they can’t tell what cards you have. However, remember to bluff in moderation.

Adapt to Table Dynamics

The dynamics of a poker table are fluid and could change quickly. Successful players tend to be flexible in their approach. Observe the patterns and strategies of your opponent’s play and adapt appropriately.

If you’re up against strong opponents, you might benefit from letting free and playing more aggressively. Tighten up and wait for better hands to get maximum value from aggressive players. Being versatile and able to adjust to new situations and styles of play is essential for sustained success.

Final Thoughts

With dedication, discipline, and a willingness to adapt, South African poker players can enhance their game and compete at a higher level by arming themselves with these strategies. The excitement and rewards that come with improving your skills and learning winning strategies will always be worth it.

Adviser Of Serie A Defender Aiwu Reveals Talks With Peseiro On Dumping Austria For Super Eagles

0

The adviser of Cremonense defender Emmanuel Aiwu says the 22 year old defender who played in 23 games in the Italian Serie A last season is in talks with the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria on playing for Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

In an interview with German publication Kicker, Marcello Brillmann revealed that the former Austria youth international is in talks with English Premier League side Burnley over a summer move following the relegation of Cremonense, but beyond that he is also weighing up his international future following contact from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

“Contact with the ÖFB (Austria Football Association) is active and I know that they think a lot of Emmanuel there. But I also have good contacts with Nigeria, who are very interested. Emmanuel has played for all junior national teams in Austria and was born and raised here. We’ll see what the future brings. The upcoming transfer window is now our top priority”, he said.

When pressed further on if the ÖFB are aware of the move by Nigeria, he said it was the football body that even called his attention to the attempt by the NFF to lure the highly rated defender.

“The ÖFB was informed by me after the first contact by Nigeria. There was a very good meeting with sports director Peter Schöttel, who confirmed to me again how much the ÖFB thinks of Emmanuel and that they are planning with Emmanuel”, he explained.

He however concluded that there is a chance that he could end up playing for Nigeria who are pushing for his inclusion in their team as soon as possible. “This isn’t about stalling. We respect Nigeria as much as we respect Austria. In the end you will have to make a decision. If it were Nigeria, they would have preferred to invite Emmanuel to the current course”, he stated.

Exclusive – Nottingham Forest Steps Up Effort To Sign Super Eagles Forward As Awoniyi’s Partner In Attack

0

English Premier League side Nottingham Forest are planning for next season with the strengthening of their attack on top of their priority list after struggling for goals in the English Premier League last season.

Forest escaped relegation in their debut season following promotion to the English Premier League with Nigeria international forward Taiwo Awoniyi finishing as their top scorer with 10 goals despite missing eight games.

Brennan Johnson came second on eight goals. In total the team scored just 38 league balls last season and it is seen as a prime reason why they finished 16th. To avoid a repeat especially with doubts over the future of Johnson, they have started moves towards adding more firepower to their attack.

OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal that talks have accelerated in recent days with Nigeria international striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who ended last season with five goal and five assists for relegated Leicester City.

He is seen as someone who will compliment Awoniyi in the team’s attack with their relationship dating back to when they were teammates for the U17 team of Nigeria in 2013.

Preliminary talks were held last week with Iheanacho who scored the goal that sealed Nigeria’s spot at next year Africa Cup of Nations reportedly keen on the move. More talks will be held this week with expectations that personal terms will be agreed ahead of a formal bid to Leicester City.
